We had seen it leaked last week, but today Panasonic has made official the new Lumix GF6. It’s a camera designed for those starting in this photograph, a leap regarding the GF5 and with many new features, including: WiFi, NFC, folding screen and 16-Megapixel sensor.

There is still no official confirmation of the price, but it is thought that it could haunt the $650, including a 14-42 mm lens It is not cheap, but specifications are convincing on the paper.

It features a new image processing engine to reduce noise in the pictures with low light and a three inch LCD that opens 180 degrees upward. And it also adds WiFi and, curiously, NFC (the first time we see him in a camera with interchangeable lenses). For what? The idea is to link the camera to a mobile phone to make this work as remote control and be able to download images directly from the camera, upload them to the Internet, edit them quickly, etc.

The GF6 records video in 1080i at 60 frames per second in AVCHD format (or 1080 p at 30 fps in MP4). Moreover, similar in design and materials to the previous model, the GF5. If the price is confirmed between 600 and 650 dollars, a great option.
