With Amazon releasing the new Amazon Fire TV, you can expect that they won’t be selling the fourth generation Apple TV anytime soon. But before putting off your purchase if you find this to inconvenient, see what experts that sell electronics think about the new Apple TV first.

What can it do?

Where the previous  Apple TV used an A5, the new version uses an A8 chip and 2GB RAM, so you can probably imagine what it can do. It can support a full App Store, which means that you can also get all the latest games plus a wide range of apps through the Apple TV. It can even run 180p videos al 60 fps.

As far as convenience is concerned , Siri support has it covered.You can easily search for any kind of content you’re looking gor through voice command. And that’s not even the cool part about it. Say you want to watch your favorite movie. Just give out the command to initiate the search and Siri would immediately search not only on iTunes, but on Hullu, HBO, Netflix , and Showtime to find what you’re looking for. This is definitely faster, knowing that you won’t have to open each application and do separate searches.

But how do you even access. Siri on your Apple TV? That’s another surprise that Apple has for Apple TV users. The new Apple TV comes with the Siri Remote. which works as a remote, microphone, and game controller in one.

The Remote has a glass touch panel that basically works the same way as an iPhone if you’re using it to navigate the Apple TV interface. The microphones are there to allow the remote to pick up every voice command. The Remote is also able to work as a game controller through the built-in gyroscope and accelerometer. Of course, Apple TV dtill supports third-party gamming controllers, which can be connected via Bluetooth 4.0.

As for its operating system it runs on tvOS which would somehow remind you of iOs 9 as you use your TV set.One of the best features  of the tvOS is its more steamlined design that makes it easier for you to look for content inside the system.

How do you buy it?

The new Apple TV will not be available for purchase until late October, but seeing how huge the leap is from the old system, it’s definitely worth the wait, It will be available in 32GB and 64GB variations, with the previous costing $149 and the latter, $199.

The launch will only cover 80 countries, but Apple aims to make it available to more countries by the end of the year. Of course,the third generation Apple TV will still be available for purchase at only $69 and there would definitely be no waiting involved. However, the 3th gen Apple TV does not support Siiri nor the use of the App Store, so that may push you to become just a little bit more patient and just wait for the real deal to arrive.
