With every new iPhone that Apple releases in the past couple of years, they have been known to give the public two versions to choose from- the regular one, and the Plus variant. This practice started with the iPhone 6 series.
This is why people have now started to wonder what Apple has in store for us when they release the iPhone 7 series towards the end of this year. What major differences would the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have?
Experts that sell iPhone units and accessories have hinted on a few factors that could help you decide between the two:
- The Size.
Although this is common knowledge, one major and obvious difference between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus would be the size. The previous is a 4.7-inch model, while the latter would be bigger at 5.5 inches. This proves to be a major part of the decision-making process for some, depending on what they would be most comfortable with in terms of grip. Evidently, the iPhone 7 Plus would be a challenge for those with smaller hands, but its other features could cause someone to rethink the entire thing altogether.
- The Memory
In the iPhone 7 series, Apple will be ditching the 16GB variant. This absolutely makes sense, knowing that people are known to put their entire lives into their iPhones and 16GB is just not enough anymore.
The iPhone 7 will be offered with choices of 32GB, 64GB and 256GB. As for the iPhone 7 Plus, it will be available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.
- The Camera
Although still a rumor, there have been leaked photos of the iPhone 7 Plus having a dual camera. This definitely steps up the game, knowing that it could greatly improve quality on the bigger version. Of course, this feature may not be possible on the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7. In the latters case, a standard camera would probably still apply, but with impressive photo quality just the same.
So far, these are the most evident differences between the iPhone 7 and 7Plus based on rumors and leaked photos. It is important to note, however, that there is even bigger news in store for all Apple users out there.
According to sources, it is possible that a 3 rd variant, possibly an iPhone 7 Pro, will also be released. In this case, the entire smartphone game could drastically change. Of course, the iPhone 7 Pro would offer even bigger and better functions that the iPhone 7 Plus, which could be very exciting for those who want their phones to be more functional.
No details have been released about the iPhone 7 Pro just yet. There is no confirmation as well whether this is true or not. Either way, everyone is excited to see what Apple has in store for everyone this year, especially after the surprising release of the iPhone SE a couple of months back.
