As with any other time period before the actual launch of a new iPhone, people are starting to check around for leaks just to figure out whether the next product release will be worth saving up for. As early as now, people have been speculating on whether the iPhone 7 would be wildly different from the last two releases in terms of aesthetics. In fact, even experts that sell iPhone units have been trying to dodge questions left and right, as they also rely on leaks to see what the iPhone 7 will actually bring to the market.

Its Appearance

Lets get one of the most major factors out of the way the iPhone 7s aesthetics. Since the release of the iPhone SE, people have been wondering whether Apple is reverting back to the old, sleeker look of the iPhone 5 and 5S. It look like the people who have been waiting for this turn of events will be greatly disappointed.

If the leaks are true, the iPhone 7 will look more like the iPhone 6S. The only notable differences would be the following:

  • The rear-facing camera will not stick out as it did on the iPhone 6 and 6S. This means that the area around the camera will be smooth.
  • The visible radio antennae will not be there anymore. These are the two lines at the back of the 6S, which has caused a lot of eyes to be bothered in the past. After all, Apple users have gotten used to the idea of having a clean design, and Apple veered away from that with the 6 and 6S releases.

Other than that, it is assumed that the iPhone 7 will be about the same thickness as the iPhone 6S and will generally look the same.

Expected Features

As for the rest of the phone, what new surprises can be expected?

  • No headphone jack. The iPhone 7 will either use headphones that can be connected to the lightning port, or through Bluetooth.
  • Dual-lens camera. This feature, however, is rumored to be available only to the iPhone 7 Plus, and not to the standard iPhone 7.
  • Smart connector. Another feature that would probably be added to the larger-screened version, there is no clear news yet as to what the smart connector would be for.
  • Upgraded processor. The next-generation A10 processors are rumored to be part of the upgrade on the new iPhone.

Of course, it will not be surprising that two versions of the phone will be introduced an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus. This was a trend that was introduced with the iPhone 6, which was continued when the iPhone 6S was released. Are any of the expected changes appealing to you just yet? Although these are mere presumptions and no real proof can be presented whether these leaks are legitimate, it is safe to say that a lot of previous assumptions will not come true. This means that there is no better time than now to start deciding whether an upgrade to the iPhone 7, which will be released in September, would be worth it.
