The chain of shops GameStop has sent an internal bulletin in which it requests to its shops network to prepare all the Wii U of 8GB that they have in stock to return them. The date of retreat is June 18, one week after the date chosen by the Japanese to do its presentation in the fair E3.

At the moment neither Nintendo nor GameStop have declared themselves on this matter, so we do not know if it is a question only of a decision of the chain of shops of video games or it is the indication(hint) of that the manufacturer proposes to discontinue the basic version of its console.

In this moment there are two versions of the Wii U in shops: the Wii U of 8GB, in white color, and a model premium black that raises its memory up to(even) 32GB and includes the game Nintendo Land. Further away the logical promotional bundles are with other games and accessories.

The difference of price between the basic pack and the premium is of scarcely 50 dollars (40 euros), so it is possible that Nintendo prefers to center on the top model now when Xbox One and Ps4 they are to the return of the corner.
