Windows has truly gone a long way. From the initial concept of Windows 1.0 in 1981 and its eventual release in 1985, to the combined successes and failures of the versions that followed, the operating sytem has shaped the way people looked at computers and created the bridge between technology and regular people.

As people continued to ignore Microsoft’s most recent release, Windows 8,people are starting to acknowledge the fact that the next one would probably be the biggest one yet. After all, Microsoft has always proven to rise after every fall, from Windows ME to the long-staying Windows XP, and from Windows Vista to the popular Windows 7.
Considering the things that we’ll be presenting below, it seemsthat consumers are right. Because as far as Microsoft is concerned, this is their biggest release yet. Here are 5 facts that you need to know about Windows 10.

It’s the last Windows version. No , Microsoft is definitely not retiring their biggest product ever. But then again, maybe that’s the entire point: that this time, it’s not going to be a product anymore, but an actual service. Microsoft transitions Windoes from a product to a srvice by making Windows 10 the last version of Windows, a version that can be used forever and will be given updates as need, app-style. This means that there’s no more deciding whether it’s worth it to buy and istall the new OS that just came out. This time, you use the same OS, but upgrade it to something better every time.
It has an all-new browser. With a new operating system also comes a new web browser called Microsoft Edge , something that pomises to give you the kind of webexperience you have never seen before . Imagine having the ability to type notes directly onto webpages, and allowing you to save content and interesting reads in case you want to get back to them later.
It takes multi-tasking to a whole new lebel. Getting tired of having to hit alt+tab all the time? Well, it looks like Microsoft heard your pleas. The Windows 10 allows users to have four different apps opened simultaneously, with the screen divided accordingly to let you see and interact with all of them at the same time. It even allows you to create virtual desktops just in case you’re a stickler for organization.
It provides you with a personal assistant. Meet Cortana, your new personal assistant. Cortana studies and tracks the way you use your device, allowing it to leave you reminders and notes of things you may have forgotten , or things that you might have to do. This alloes you to become even more productive as you finally have someonewho has a better memory of your own shedule than you.

It’s going to give you free updates. Contrary to rumors circulating at the moment, upgrades that will be released are definitely free. Remember that Windows 10 was designed to work the same way as any other app on your phone or mobile device. You may have paid for the app itself, but every time it sends you an update to fix bugs or give you a better experience, there’s no need to make a purchase.

Seeing everything that the Windows 10 can do, it’s no wonder that people are eager to start running to stores that sell electronics so that they can finally get the Windows 10 experience.
