iPhone 12 Pro Max: Performance

All the iPhone 12 lineup comes with the A14 Bionic chip, same used in the iPad Air 4. It is the first time Apple uses the A14 chip on an iPhone. But, what is the A14 Bionic chip? The A14 is a chip built with nanometer processor technology which enables it to boast 4 core GPU, 6 core CPU and a 70% faster learning accelerators.

What does this chip give to the iPhone 12 Pro Max? The A14 provides improved efficiency and generates more speeds from less energy. Therefore, it powers the most impressive camera and AR tech in a smartphone which allows workload intensive gaming such as League of Legends, and photography features. Moreover, with such a power on iPhone 12, the camera uses the new technology speed to enhance photos with Deep Fusion images, combining multiple exposure faster to enhance lighting and color.

iPhone 12 Pro Max: 5G Connectivity

All iPhone 12 lineup comes with 5G connectivity, which allows you to have a super fast wireless speed experience in congested networks. Moreover, iPhone 12 Pro Max has “Smart Data Mode”, allowing you to use the 5G connectivity whenever your device needs. For example, when you are downloading a high-quality HDR movie or a season of your favorite series on Netflix. The Smart Data mode, toggles when your device needs or not the 5G speeds. If it doesn’t need 5G connectivity, it will automatically use LTE to save your power battery. In addition, if your carrier has the option to use 5G connectivity, you are more than free to use it whenever it’s available. Per now, there are only few carriers that use 5G connectivity, but later in future, all carriers will use 5G.

In other words, it stands for light detection and uses lasers to correct depth. This technology is used for computational photography to improve portrait photos in the “Night Mode” function or other professional features.  Moreover, it has a “ProRaw” feature to capture photos in raw image format.

The main lens on iPhone 12 Pro Max has a f.1.6 aperture and LIDAR sensor for an auto focus much faster; the telephoto lens has a 2.5x optical zoom; and the front-facing camera has 12 megapixel. While, using the MagSafe charger (wireless), it takes more than three hours for a full charge.

iPhone 12 Pro Max: MagSafe

Apple has introduced the MagSafe for the iPhone 12 lineup instead of including a charger in the box for this model. The MagSafe is a ring magnet which is built into the back around the wireless charging coil of the iPhone 12 lineup, to connect to compatible accessories such as charges and cases from Apple. It is designed for faster and efficient charging.

Also, the MagSafe charger can charge at a maximum of 15W. In the case of the  iPhone 12 mini, it charges at a maximum of 12W . However, it is slower but it charges the double fast than previous wireless chargers. The MagSafe charger has a price of $39, and it’s recommended to use a 20W USB-C power brick which is sold separately.
