Find your Alienware's model number.

There are five ways to locate your Alienware laptop's model number. Pick whichever is easiest — then get an instant trade-in quote in seconds.

Method 1

Use System Information.

The easiest on-screen method — Windows shows both your model number and processor type in two clicks.

    Search for "System Information"

    Click the Windows icon in the taskbar, type System Information, and open the app.

  2. 2

    Find "System Model"

    Look for System Model in the list — that's your model number. The Processor is listed in the same window, so you get everything we need at once.

Method 2

Check the physical labels.

No need to boot up — the model is printed right on the chassis.

    Look at the bottom of the laptop

    Power off, close the lid, and flip the laptop over to find the printed model label.

  2. 2

    Check the battery compartment

    On older models, the label may sit inside the battery compartment, under the battery.

Method 3

Open Dell SupportAssist.

Most Alienware laptops ship with Dell's SupportAssist app pre-installed.

    Launch SupportAssist

    Open the Dell SupportAssist application from the Start menu or taskbar.

    Read the main screen

    Your model number is usually displayed right on the home screen.

Method 4

Use your Service Tag.

Dell's support website identifies your exact system from its Service Tag.

    Find your Service Tag

    Flip the laptop over — the Service Tag is printed on the bottom of the chassis.

  2. 2

    Enter it on Dell Support

    Type the Service Tag into Dell's support website and it will return your exact model and specifications.

Method 5

Check the BIOS / UEFI.

A reliable fallback if Windows won't load — the model is listed in firmware.

    Restart and enter setup

    Restart your Alienware and, as it powers on, press F2 repeatedly to open the BIOS/UEFI setup.

    Open System Information

    The model number is listed under the System Information section within the BIOS/UEFI.
