FAQ
Selling your tablet,
answered.
The most common questions about selling a tablet to Gadget Salvation.
01
Which tablet brands and models do you buy?
We buy Apple iPads — standard, Air, Mini and Pro across every generation — as well as
Samsung Galaxy Tab and other major Android tablets. If you don't see your exact model,
request a custom quote and we'll evaluate it.
02
Does my tablet need to be in working condition?
Not necessarily. We buy tablets in a wide range of conditions — from like-new to
cracked screens and devices that won't power on. Just describe the condition
accurately when you get your quote so the offer reflects it. We'll confirm the
condition on arrival and pay out accordingly.
03
How do I unlink my account before selling? (iPad / Galaxy Tab)
On an iPad, sign out of your Apple ID and turn off Find My (Settings → your name →
Find My), then erase it (Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPad → Erase All
Content and Settings) to clear Activation Lock. On a Samsung Galaxy Tab, remove your
Google and Samsung accounts, then factory reset. Full steps are on our
Shipping Instructions page.
04
Does a cellular tablet need to be carrier-unlocked?
We accept both Wi-Fi and cellular tablets, locked or unlocked. Unlocked cellular
models typically fetch a higher offer, so unlocking through your carrier before
selling is worth doing if you can. Either way, make sure the device is fully paid off
and not reported lost or stolen.
05
What happens to my personal data?
Every tablet we receive is wiped using NIST-compliant data erasure before it's
resold or recycled — far beyond a standard factory reset, making data recovery
virtually impossible. Read the full details on our
Data Erasure Protocols page.
06
How soon do I get paid after shipping my tablet?
Once we receive and inspect your tablet, payment goes out within one to two business
days. Choose from PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App (all instant once issued) or a mailed check.
Shipping is free with a prepaid UPS label, and you're never obligated to accept a
revised offer — if you disagree, we'll send the device back at no cost.
