02 Can I upgrade the RAM and storage, and does it affect my offer?
Partially. On every GA401, part of the RAM is soldered to the board and cannot be removed — your unit has either 8GB or 16GB soldered, plus one open SO-DIMM slot. That caps total memory at 24GB (8GB soldered + a 16GB module) or 32GB (16GB soldered + a 16GB module), and any added stick larger than the soldered amount runs partly in single-channel mode. Storage is simpler: there's a single M.2 PCIe NVMe slot that's user-accessible, so the drive can be swapped for more capacity. 03 Should I wipe my SSD or pull it before shipping?
