The Acer Aspire Go series is Acer's everyday budget laptop family, introduced in January 2024 and refreshed through 2025. It spans four screen sizes — 14-inch, 15.3-inch, 15.6-inch, and 16-inch — across the chassis codes AG14-21P, AG14-31P, AG14-71P, AG15-21P, AG15-21PT, AG15-31P, AG15-32P, AG15-41P, AG15-42P, AG15-51P, AG15-71P, AG15-72P, AG16-71P, and AG16-71PT. Because Acer sold this family through big-box retailers in dozens of prebuilt configurations—from a 4GB Intel N100 build to a 32GB Core i9 build—the screen size and processor in your specific laptop determine its resale value.

Gadget Salvation is a buyback service that buys these Acer laptops (and most major US brands) outright for cash. Choose your screen size and processor in the quotation tool above to get an instant offer, then ship it to us for free and receive payment within 1 business day of delivery.

Find your exact Aspire Go model

Flip the laptop over. On the bottom cover, you will see a printed label or laser engraving with a code that starts with AG—for example, AG15-71P-505H. The part before the second dash (AG15-71P) is the model you need. The four characters after it are just the retail configuration code. Match your code to the group below.

14-inch (select "14-inch")

  • AG14-31P — Intel N100 / N200 / Core i3-N305 (2024)
  • AG14-21P — AMD Ryzen 3 7320U / Ryzen 5 7520U (2024)
  • AG14-71P — Intel Core i5-13420H (2025)

15.3-inch (select "15.3-inch")

  • AG15-51P — Intel Core i3-1315U / Core i5-1334U (2024)
  • This is the only Aspire Go with a 15.3-inch screen. Every other 15-inch model in the family is 15.6-inch.
  • If your bottom label reads AG15-51P, choose 15.3-inch even though the box may have said "15-inch."

15.6-inch (select "15.6-inch")

  • AG15-31P — Intel N100 / N200 / Core i3-N305 (2024)
  • AG15-21P and AG15-21PT — AMD Ryzen 3 7320U / Ryzen 5 7520U (2024). The PT suffix means touchscreen.
  • AG15-71P — Intel Core i3-1315U / Core i5-13420H / Core i7-13620H (2024)
  • AG15-32P — Intel Core 3 N355 (2025)
  • AG15-41P — AMD Ryzen 7000 series (2025)
  • AG15-42P — AMD Ryzen 5 5625U / Ryzen 7 5825U / Ryzen 7 7730U (2025)
  • AG15-72P — Intel Core 5 120U / Core 7 150U (2025)

16-inch (select "16-inch")

  • AG16-71P — Intel Core i5-13420H / Core i7-13620H / Core i9-13900H (2024)
  • AG16-71PT — Intel Core 5 120U / Core 7 150U, touchscreen (2025)

Short on time or can't read the label? Press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter. The window that opens lists your model under "System Model" and your chip under "Processor." Our guide to finding your laptop's model number and our guide to finding your processor type walk through both steps with screenshots.

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • Intel N100 / N200 / Core i3-N305 — entry efficiency chips, 4 to 8 cores, no hyper-threading
  • Intel Core 3 N355 — 8 cores, up to 3.9 GHz
  • Intel Core i3-1315U / Core i5-1334U — 13th Gen low-power, 10 cores
  • Intel Core 5 120U / Core 7 150U — 10 cores, up to 5.4 GHz
  • Intel Core i5-13420H / Core i7-13620H / Core i9-13900H — 13th Gen H-series, 8 to 14 cores
  • AMD Ryzen 3 7320U / Ryzen 5 7520U — 4 cores, 8 threads
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5625U / Ryzen 7 5825U / Ryzen 7 7730U — 6 to 8 cores, 12 to 16 threads

Graphics (GPU)

  • Intel UHD Graphics on N-series and Core 3 builds
  • Intel Iris Xe or Intel Graphics on Core i and Core 5/7 builds
  • AMD Radeon 610M or Radeon Graphics on Ryzen builds
  • No Aspire Go was ever sold with a dedicated graphics card. Graphics are integrated into the processor on every model, so the processor you select above already includes them.

Memory (RAM)

  • 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB depending on build
  • Soldered and not upgradable on the Intel N-series and AMD Ryzen 7000 builds — the LPDDR5 memory is fixed to the board
  • DDR4 or DDR5 in a removable SO-DIMM slot on the Core i, Core 5/7, and Ryzen 5000 builds
  • If someone added memory to your laptop, leave it installed — we quote what arrives in the box

Storage

  • M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB
  • The cheapest builds use 128GB or 256GB UFS flash soldered to the board instead of a removable SSD — there is no drive to unscrew on those units
  • No model in this family shipped with a spinning hard drive or a second drive bay

Display & audio

Display

14-inch and 16-inch models use a WUXGA (1920 × 1200) 16:10 IPS panel. The 15.3-inch model also uses a WUXGA (1920 × 1200) 16:10 IPS panel. The 15.6-inch models use a Full HD (1920 × 1080) 16:9 panel, and here it matters which one you have: most are IPS, but several entry 15.6-inch builds shipped with a dimmer TN panel rated around 220 nits. All panels are 60Hz and matte. Touchscreens appear only on the AG15-21PT and AG16-71PT.

Audio, camera & mic

Two stereo speakers with no premium audio branding. Webcams are HD 720p on most builds and Full HD 1080p on the AG15-51P, all with Acer's Temporal Noise Reduction. Dual digital microphones run Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise reduction. No model in this family has a physical webcam privacy shutter.

Ports & connectivity

Port layouts shift between chassis, so check yours before you pack. The list below covers what every model has and what only some have.

On every Aspire Go
  • 1× HDMI video output (HDMI 2.1 on newer builds)
  • 2× to 3× USB-A SuperSpeed ports
  • 1× to 2× USB-C ports with DisplayPort output
  • 1× 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack
  • 1× Kensington-style security lock slot
Only on some builds — and never on any
  • RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet (select 15.6-inch AMD and 16-inch builds only)
  • Backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader (optional extras, missing on most entry builds)
  • Numeric keypad (15.6-inch and 16-inch only; the 14-inch and 15.3-inch models have none)
  • No Thunderbolt port on any model in this family
  • No SD or microSD card reader on most builds

Wi-Fi 6 Wi-Fi 6E on select builds; Bluetooth 5.1 / 5.2 / 5.3; dedicated Copilot key AcerSense app

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

Most models carry a 3-cell battery of roughly 53 Whr, rated by Acer for up to 10 hours. Chargers differ across the family: some builds charge through a USB-C power adapter, and others use a round DC barrel plug. Send whichever adapter came with your laptop — including the original charger raises your offer, and the tool above asks you about it.

Build & finish

Plastic chassis throughout, with post-consumer recycled plastic in the covers. Sold mainly in Pure Silver and Steel Gray. There is no metal-bodied version of any Aspire Go, so scuffs and lid flex are normal wear rather than damage.

Weight

14-inch ≈ 3.1 lb · 15.3-inch ≈ 3.7 lb · 15.6-inch ≈ 3.8–4.0 lb · 16-inch ≈ 4.0 lb.

Operating system

Windows 11 Home on most units, with some entry builds shipping in Windows 11 Home in S mode. A Windows 11 Pro option exists on a handful of builds. The installed edition does not change your offer.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out which Acer Aspire Go I have?
There are two easy ways, and you don't need to know anything about computers for either one.

On the laptop itself: close the lid, turn it upside down, and look at the bottom cover. You will find a code beginning with the letters AG, such as AG15-71P-505H or AG16-71PT-558A. Write down the part before the second dash — that is your model.

On the screen: turn on the laptop, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter. A window called System Information opens. The line "System Model" shows your Aspire Go model, and the line "Processor" shows your chip. Those are the exact two things the quote tool above asks for.

If the label has rubbed off and the laptop won't turn on, our model number guide shows other places the number is printed, or you can send us photos through a custom quote, and we'll identify it for you.
02 My laptop says 15-inch on the box. Do I pick 15.3-inch or 15.6-inch?
Go by the model code on the bottom, not the box or the store listing. Retailers rounded both sizes to "15-inch," and they are not the same machine.

AG15-51P is the 15.3-inch model. It has a taller, squarer screen and no numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard.

AG15-21P, AG15-21PT, AG15-31P, AG15-32P, AG15-41P, AG15-42P, AG15-71P, and AG15-72P are all 15.6-inch. They have a wider screen and a numeric keypad.

Two more things worth checking. A PT at the end of the code, as in AG15-21PT or AG16-71PT, means the screen is a touchscreen — tap it to confirm. If the code on your sticker doesn't begin with AG, you have a different Acer laptop, and this page will not price it correctly; start on our Acer laptop trade-in page instead.
03 Will you still buy it if the screen is cracked or the battery is dead?
Yes. We buy these laptops in every condition, working or not. Use the Cosmetic Condition and Functionality selectors above to describe yours honestly — cracked screen, swollen or dead battery, missing keys, hinge damage, a drive that was pulled out, a machine that won't power on at all. Each issue you check adjusts the offer and locks it in, so there are no surprise deductions when it arrives.

Upgrades are welcome too. If you or a shop swapped in a larger SSD or added memory, leave it installed — we quote the laptop as it arrives. And if it was previously refurbished, tick that box so the offer reflects it. See how it works for the full flow, and our first-time seller guide if this is your first trade-in.
04 What is a trade-in service, and what raises my Aspire Go offer?
Most people selling a used laptop think of auction sites and local classifieds, where you write the listing, answer questions for weeks, pay selling fees, and hope the buyer doesn't file a dispute. A trade-in service works the other way around: Gadget Salvation buys your laptop directly. You pick your specs, we share an offer, email you a free prepaid shipping label, and you get paid once it arrives. No listings, no fees, no strangers to meet. We have been doing this since 2008, and every device we take in is either refurbished for a second owner or responsibly recycled rather than sitting in a drawer or a landfill — more on that in our piece on the environmental cost of tech waste.

What most Aspire Go owners don't realize is how far the spread runs inside one product name. The processor is the single biggest factor: a Core i7-13620H, Core i9-13900H, or Ryzen 7 build is worth substantially more than an Intel N100 or N200 build of the same size and age. Screen size is second — 16-inch and 15.6-inch Core i models bring more than the entry 14-inch ones. After that, cosmetic condition, whether the laptop powers on and runs normally, and whether you include the original charger all move the number. Take a minute to select accurately; guessing low costs you money, and guessing high just gets corrected at intake.
05 Do I need to wipe it first, and how do I get paid?
Copy anything you want to keep — photos, documents, downloads — to a USB drive or a cloud account, then sign out of your Microsoft account and any work or school account on the laptop. If the laptop came from an employer or a school district and is still enrolled in their management system, ask their IT team to release it before you ship; otherwise, it stays locked to them, and we cannot accept it.

You do not need to open the laptop or remove the drive yourself, and on many Aspire Go builds the storage is soldered to the board anyway. Our technicians reset every computer that comes in and wipe the drive clean before it leaves our facility (see our data erasure protocols page).

Pack it using our shipping instructions and send it with the free insured label. Once it arrives and passes inspection, we'll send payment within two business days via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or a paper check in the mail.
