Apple iPad 10.9-inch (10th Gen.)
- Free, insured shipping
- Certified data erasure
- Paid within 2 business days
- No selling fees, unlike marketplaces
The Apple iPad 10.9-inch (10th Generation), released in 2022, is the model that finally brought USB-C, a fully redesigned edge-to-edge display, and a landscape-facing front camera to the standard iPad line. Model numbers A2696 (Wi-Fi) and A2757 (Wi-Fi + Cellular) cover this generation. Apple built it for students, everyday browsing, note-taking, and light creative work, sitting between the budget 9th generation and the pricier iPad Air. Because it runs the same A14 Bionic chip found in other well-supported Apple devices and takes iPadOS updates for years to come, it holds resale value longer than most consumer tablets. Pick your storage and connectivity above, tell us the condition, and you get a live cash offer immediately. If you want the details on shipping and payout first, see how the process works, or go ahead and sell your iPad once you're ready.
Confirm you have the iPad 10th Generation
The fastest way to confirm this is on the tablet itself. Go to Settings → General → About, scroll to Model Number, and tap it once to switch from the marketing code (starting with MPQ or MQ6) to the A-number Apple uses on the spec sheet. If the screen is unresponsive, the model number is also printed in small text on the back of the iPad, though it can be hard to read without good light.
A2696 — Wi-Fi
- No SIM tray or cellular antenna lines on the back
- Matches marketing codes MPQ03LL/A, MPQ23LL/A, MPQ13LL/A, MPQ33LL/A
A2757 — Wi-Fi + Cellular
- Has a nano-SIM tray on the side and eSIM support
- Matches marketing codes MPQ83LL/A, MPQA3LL/A, MPQ93LL/A, MPQC3LL/A, MQ6J3LL/A, MQ6T3LL/A, MQ6L3LL/A, MQ6V3LL/A, MQ6K3LL/A, MQ6U3LL/A, MQ6M3LL/A, MQ6W3LL/A
Prefer a visual check? Look for a USB-C port on the bottom edge instead of Lightning, a single round Touch ID button built into the top edge (no Home button on the front), and a front camera centered on the long landscape edge rather than the short top edge. Colors run Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow.
Core hardware configurations
Processor
- Apple A14 Bionic, 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU
- Same silicon used across both storage tiers
Storage
- 64GB or 256GB, soldered and not user-upgradable
- 256GB units command the stronger resale offer since capacity can't be added later
Cameras
- 12MP Wide rear camera, f/1.8, 4K video
- 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage, mounted on the landscape edge
Display & audio
10.9-inch Liquid Retina LCD with True Tone and wide color (P3). No ProMotion here, so the panel runs a standard 60Hz refresh, which is normal for this tier of iPad.
Landscape stereo speakers, one on each side when the iPad is held horizontally, tuned for video and calls rather than music production.
Security runs through Touch ID built into the top power button. There is no Face ID on this generation.
Ports & connectivity
This is the first standard iPad to drop Lightning entirely in favor of USB-C, and it added a Smart Connector for keyboard accessories that earlier base models didn't have.
- USB-C port (USB 2.0 data speeds)
- Smart Connector, side edge, for Magic Keyboard Folio
- Wi-Fi 6
- Bluetooth 5.2
- 5G sub-6GHz and nano-SIM/eSIM on Cellular models
USB-C A14 Bionic Touch ID top button Center Stage camera Smart Connector Apple Pencil (USB-C) support Wi-Fi 6 Optional 5G
Battery, build & more
Battery is rated by Apple for a full day of typical mixed use — browsing, video, and light apps. Like any lithium battery after a couple of years, expect somewhat less than that if the iPad has seen heavy daily charging cycles.
Finishes are Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow, all with matching aluminum backs.
Shipped with iPadOS 16 and continues to receive iPadOS updates, which keeps it usable for mainstream apps well past its release year.
Compatible accessories include the Magic Keyboard Folio and the Apple Pencil (USB-C). The original Apple Pencil (1st generation) also works, but only with a separate USB-C to Pencil adapter, since the charging end no longer matches the tablet's port. Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is not supported, as this model has no magnetic pairing strip.
Sits as a mid-tier iPad in Apple's current lineup, priced and specced above the 9th generation and below the iPad Air, which makes it a common upgrade target for sellers moving off older Lightning-based iPads.
