The Apple iPad mini (6th generation) — widely called the iPad mini 6 — was released on September 24, 2021 and was the line's first full redesign in years. It dropped the Home button for an all-screen 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, moved Touch ID into the top button, and switched from Lightning to USB-C. Inside is the A15 Bionic chip, and it adds 5G on cellular models plus support for the Apple Pencil (2nd generation). It came in Space Gray, Pink, Purple, and Starlight. Because storage and connectivity are the two factors that move its resale price, select your configuration using the tool above to view an instant cash offer for your exact device.
Identify your exact iPad mini 6
The iPad mini 6 came in a single 8.3-inch size, so the model number on the back tells you which connectivity version you have. Open Settings > General > About > Model Number and tap once to reveal the A-number, or read the small text on the back:
Wi-Fi
- Model A2567
- No SIM tray, no GPS
Wi-Fi + Cellular
- Model A2568 (China: A2569)
- Adds nano-SIM tray + eSIM, 5G, and GPS/GNSS
The mini 6 is easy to tell from every earlier mini: it has no Home button, a USB-C port instead of Lightning, and flat sides. Don't confuse it with the newer iPad mini (A17 Pro, 2024), which looks nearly identical — the A-number is the reliable tell. Need help locating it? See our guide to finding your gadget's model.
