The Apple iPad Pro (3rd generation), released in November 2018, was the landmark redesign that defined the modern iPad Pro. Powered by the A12X Bionic chip, it dropped the Home button for an edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display, introduced Face ID, and was the first iPad to switch from Lightning to USB-C. It came in two sizes: the refreshed 12.9-inch and a new 11-inch model (replacing the 10.5-inch). Because storage, screen size, and connectivity affect resale value, select your exact configuration using the tool above for an instant cash offer.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm I have the 3rd-generation (2018) iPad Pro?
Go to Settings → General → About and check the Model Number. The 3rd-generation iPad Pro (2018) is the first with the edge-to-edge design, Face ID, and a USB-C port — no Home button. It came in 12.9-inch and 11-inch sizes. Its closest lookalike is the 2020 (4th gen) model; see the next question to tell them apart. For help, check our guide to finding your gadget's model.
02 How is this different from the 2020 (4th gen) iPad Pro?
The 2018 (3rd gen) and 2020 (4th gen) models look nearly identical. The quickest tell is the rear camera: the 2018 model has a single rear camera, while the 2020 model adds an Ultra Wide second camera plus a LiDAR scanner in a square housing. The 2018 model also runs the A12X chip versus the A12Z in 2020. If your iPad has two rear cameras and a LiDAR dot, select the 4th-gen page instead.
03 Can I trade in a 3rd-gen iPad Pro with a cracked screen or battery issues?
Yes. We accept iPad Pro units in all conditions — cracked glass, worn battery, or won't power on. Reflect the condition honestly in the grading options above and we'll lock in a cash value.
04 Do I need to remove my Apple ID before sending it?
Please back up your data, then sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My iPad, and erase the device under Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPad. This clears Activation Lock so we can process it. See our data erasure protocols page.
05 Which configurations raise my trade-in value the most?
Higher storage (512GB or 1TB), the larger 12.9-inch size, cellular connectivity, and clean cosmetic condition all raise the offer. Including an Apple Pencil (2nd gen) or Magic Keyboard helps as well. Select your exact configuration above for the most accurate figure.
