The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is ASUS's dual-screen flagship gaming laptop, sold in three generations that are far less alike than the shared name suggests. The 2022 GX650R and 2023 GX650P run AMD Ryzen with a 14-inch ScreenPad Plus that tilts up above the keyboard. The 2026 GX651 is a different machine entirely: two full 16-inch OLED touchscreens, an Intel Core Ultra processor, and a detachable keyboard. Because a 2022 RTX 3060 model and a 2026 RTX 5090 model share a product name and nothing else, the code on the bottom panel determines your quote. Gadget Salvation has bought used gaming laptops for cash since 2008, so you can trade in your Zephyrus Duo 16 instead of listing it yourself. Select your processor and graphics above for an instant cash offer.

Turn the laptop over. The bottom-panel label reads Model: GX650 or Model: GX651, followed by letters identifying the graphics card. If the laptop boots, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, press Enter, and read the "System Model" line.

Core hardware
Processor (CPU)
- 2022: AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX (8C/16T, 20MB cache, up to 4.9 GHz) or Ryzen 7 6800H
- 2023: AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX (16C/32T, 64MB L3 cache, up to 5.4 GHz)
- 2026: Intel Core Ultra 9 386H (16C/16T, 18MB cache, up to 4.9 GHz) with a 50 TOPS NPU
The 2023 jump from 8 to 16 cores is the single biggest generational change on the AMD side. All configurations use liquid metal on the CPU.
Graphics (GPU)
- 2022: RTX 3060 6GB, RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, RTX 3080 8GB, or RTX 3080 Ti 16GB
- 2023: RTX 4060, RTX 4070, RTX 4080 12GB, or RTX 4090 16GB — the 4080 and 4090 run at 175W TGP
- 2026: RTX 5070 Ti 12GB GDDR7 or RTX 5090 24GB GDDR7, up to 150W TGP
To confirm yours, open Task Manager → Performance → GPU. The 2022 and 2023 models use Optimus; the 2026 model has a MUX switch.
Memory (RAM)
- 2022 & 2023: DDR5-4800 in two user-accessible SO-DIMM slots, up to 64GB. Shipped as 16GB or 32GB.
- 2026: LPDDR5X-8533 soldered to the board, 32GB or 64GB, with no expansion possible
If you upgraded a 2022 or 2023 unit, quote the capacity it reports now — it raises the offer. On the 2026 model, the capacity is permanent, so a 64GB unit is worth meaningfully more than a 32GB one.
Storage
- Two M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe slots on every generation
- 2022: frequently 2TB + 2TB in RAID 0
- 2023: 1TB or 2TB · 2026: 1TB or 2TB
A RAID 0 pair reports as one volume in Windows — quote the combined figure. Only single-sided M.2 drives fit.
Displays
Main display (16", 16:10)
- 2022 — ROG Nebula HDR Mini LED: QHD+ 2560 × 1600 at 165Hz (on RTX 3060 and 3070 Ti builds)
- 2022 — ROG Nebula IPS: a dual-spec panel running either UHD+ 3840 × 2400 at 120Hz or FHD+ 1920 × 1200 at 240Hz, switched in Armoury Crate (on RTX 3080 and 3080 Ti builds). The two modes cannot run at once.
- 2023: QHD+ 2560 × 1600 Mini LED at 240Hz, 100% DCI-P3, FreeSync Premium Pro
- 2026: 3K 2880 × 1800 OLED at 120Hz, 0.2ms, 100% DCI-P3, touch and stylus support
Check yours under Settings → System → Display → Advanced display. Mini LED and OLED panels are worth more than the IPS option.
Second screen, camera & audio
2022 and 2023: ScreenPad Plus — a 14-inch 3840 × 1100 IPS touchscreen that rises as you open the lid, with stylus support.
2026: a second full 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen rather than a strip, with the keyboard detaching to sit in front of it.
If the tilt mechanism no longer raises the ScreenPad, or the second screen has dead touch zones, note it in your condition selection — it is the most repair-prone part of the 2022 and 2023 machines.
Every generation has a four-speaker Dolby Atmos system with two tweeters. Cameras: 720p IR in 2022, 1080p in 2023, 1080p IR with Windows Hello in 2026.

Battery, build & more
Battery & charging
A 90Wh 4-cell pack across all three generations. Barrel chargers differ: 240W or 280W in 2022, 330W in 2023, and 250W in 2026.
***Send the original adapter. Wattage is generation-specific, and a missing or mismatched charger lowers the offer.
Keyboard & lighting
2022 and 2023: per-key RGB with NumberPad in the touchpad, plus AAS Aura Sync lighting. A magnetic palm rest shipped in the box — include it if you still have it.
2026: a detachable 1-zone RGB keyboard with a Copilot key, connecting over Pogo pins, plus Slash Lighting on the lid.
***On a 2026 version, the keyboard is a separate piece. A missing keyboard significantly reduces the offer, so pack it with the laptop.
