The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA403 Series) is the redesigned 14-inch ultraportable gaming and creator laptop that ASUS has shipped across three model years under the same GA403 code — the 2024 edition (AMD Ryzen 8000 "Zen 4", RTX 40-series), the 2025 edition (AMD Ryzen AI 300 "Zen 5", RTX 50-series), and the 2026 refresh (continued Ryzen AI / RTX 50-series). All GA403 generations share the same CNC-milled aluminum chassis, 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED ROG Nebula Display, six-speaker audio, and the signature "Slash Lighting" lid — which makes it easy to mistake one year for another when listing it for resale. Because the CPU platform and GPU generation differ sharply between years, your exact configuration determines the payout. Note too that the GA403 is not the same as the older GA402 (2022/2023) or GA401 (2020/2021) G14 models — those used a different chassis, an AniMe Matrix dot-LED lid, and earlier hardware. If you're trying to sell your G14 online, GadgetSalvation is a trade-in service that buys gaming laptops directly for cash — no listings, no buyers to vet. Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • 2024 edition: AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS / Ryzen 9 8940H — 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5.2 GHz, 24MB cache, with a 16 TOPS AMD XDNA NPU (Zen 4)
  • 2025 / 2026 editions: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 — 12 cores, 24 threads (Zen 5), with a higher-output Ryzen AI NPU
  • The CPU is the fastest way to confirm which year you own

Graphics (GPU)

  • 2024: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 (6GB), RTX 4060 (8GB), or RTX 4070 (8GB) GDDR6, up to 90W with Dynamic Boost
  • 2025 / 2026: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, RTX 5060, RTX 5070, or RTX 5070 Ti GDDR7 (configuration varies by region)
  • MUX Switch + NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, Ray Tracing, and DLSS across all years

Memory (RAM)

  • LPDDR5X soldered on-board — no SO-DIMM slot, not user-upgradable
  • 2024 edition shipped with 16GB or 32GB (32GB max on most SKUs)
  • 2025 / 2026 editions offer up to 32GB or 64GB on-board depending on SKU
  • Because RAM is soldered, the factory capacity is permanent — confirm your exact amount before quoting.

Storage

  • M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
  • 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB standard shipping capacities
  • Single M.2 slot only (no second drive bay), and due to surface-mounted board components, only single-sided SSDs are supported.

Display & audio

Display

14-inch ROG Nebula Display: 3K (2880 × 1800) OLED, 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh, 0.2ms response, 100% DCI-P3, Pantone Validated, with an anti-glare low-reflection finish. Supports both G-SYNC and Adaptive-Sync. Being OLED, this panel is subject to burn-in if static images are left on screen for long periods.

Audio

Six-speaker system — four force-cancelling woofers (dual, firing up and down) plus two tweeters — with Smart Amp Technology, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res headphone certification, and a three-microphone array with AI noise-canceling.

Ports & connectivity

The compact 14-inch chassis spreads its I/O across both sides, with a USB-C charging option on each side for travel flexibility.

Left Side
  • 1× DC-in power input (rectangular plug, 180W adapter)
  • 1× HDMI 2.1 FRL
  • 1× USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (DisplayPort support, up to 10Gbps)
  • 1× 3.5mm combo audio jack
Right Side
  • 2× USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps)
  • 1× USB4 Type-C (DisplayPort + Power Delivery, up to 40Gbps)
  • 1× microSD card reader (UHS-II)

Wi-Fi 6E (2024) / Wi-Fi 7 (2025–2026) Bluetooth 5.3+ USB4 (no Thunderbolt branding — AMD platform)

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

73Whr 4-cell battery across all GA403 years. Ships with a compact 180W rectangular-plug AC adapter, plus a 100W USB-C adapter for lighter travel charging. Fast charge reaches roughly 50% in about 30 minutes.

Camera & mic

1080p FHD IR webcam with Windows Hello facial recognition — a notable upgrade over older G14 models, which lacked a built-in camera. Paired with a three-microphone array.

Keyboard & lighting

Single-zone RGB backlit chiclet keyboard with Aura Sync, plus the signature "Slash Lighting" LED matrix strip on the lid. No number pad on this 14-inch layout.

Build & security

CNC-milled aluminum chassis with a 180° hinge. Security covers Firmware TPM, BIOS administrator/user password protection, and Windows Hello IR sign-in via the webcam.

Weight

≈ 1.50 kg (3.31 lb) for the 2024 edition; ≈ 1.57 kg (3.46 lb) for 2025 — among the lightest RTX gaming laptops in the 14-inch class.

Dimensions

31.1 × 22.0 × 1.59–1.63 cm (12.24" × 8.66" × 0.63"–0.64") for the 2024 model; the 2025 model is marginally thicker (up to 1.83 cm).

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm I have the Zephyrus G14 GA403 — and which year?
Check the regulatory label on the bottom panel for a model string beginning with GA403 (e.g., GA403UI, GA403WM). The full SKU and the CPU reveal the year: a Ryzen 9 8945HS / 8940H means the 2024 edition, while a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 means the 2025 or 2026 edition. The GPU is the other tell — RTX 40-series is 2024, RTX 50-series is 2025/2026. Don't confuse the GA403 with the older GA402 (2022/2023) or GA401 (2020/2021), which use a different chassis and the AniMe Matrix dot-LED lid rather than Slash Lighting. Our ASUS model-number guide walks through locating it in Windows and on the chassis.
02 Can I upgrade the RAM or storage, and does it affect resale value?
The RAM is not upgradable. On every GA403, the LPDDR5X memory is soldered directly to the motherboard with no SO-DIMM slot, so whatever capacity it shipped with (16GB, 32GB, or 64GB depending on year and SKU) is permanent. Storage is the only upgradable component: there's a single M.2 PCIe 4.0 slot, though only single-sided SSDs fit due to surface-mounted board components. When you sell, just report the actual installed RAM and storage in the tool above — a higher soldered RAM tier and a larger SSD both raise your quote.
03 Should I wipe my SSD or remove it before shipping?
We recommend backing up your personal files and game saves to an external drive or the cloud, then signing out of your Microsoft account and removing the device from Windows Hello before boxing it. You don't need to remove the M.2 SSD yourself — our intake team runs certified multi-pass data sanitation on every incoming drive. You can review the full process on our data erasure protocols page.
04 Which configurations raise my G14 trade-in value the most?
The GPU and model year are the biggest value drivers. A newer 2025/2026 RTX 50-series unit commands a higher payout than a 2024 RTX 40-series one, and within any year a higher GPU tier (RTX 4070 over 4050, or RTX 5070 Ti over 5050) lifts the offer significantly. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 platform, 32GB or 64GB of soldered RAM, and a 2TB SSD all add to your final amount. Because the OLED panel is a premium feature, a screen in clean, burn-in-free condition also helps. New to selling electronics?
