Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Free, insured shipping
- Certified data erasure
- Paid within 2 business days
- No selling fees, unlike marketplaces
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL — model numbers G45RY, GUL82, and GYPW4 — was announced at Made by Google on August 20, 2025 and reached buyers on August 28, 2025, arriving on the tenth anniversary of the Pixel line. It's the largest non-folding Pixel, built around a 6.8-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display and the first-generation Google Tensor G5 chip, and it introduced Pixelsnap — magnets built into the back for Qi2-certified magnetic wireless charging at up to 25W, a first for the Pixel family. Storage started at 256GB (the 128GB tier available on the smaller Pixel 10 Pro was never offered on the XL) and ran to 512GB and 1TB, all paired with 16GB of RAM. Launch pricing began at $1,199. Because Google guarantees seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, these phones hold their value unusually well on the secondary market. If you're ready to sell, our Google Pixel trade-in program pays cash — confirm your model below, then use the tool above for an instant offer.
Is this your phone? How to identify the Pixel 10 Pro XL
You don't need to know anything about phones for this. The Pixel 10 Pro XL looks almost identical to both the smaller Pixel 10 Pro and last year's Pixel 9 Pro XL, so it's worth taking sixty seconds to be certain.
✅ Method 1 — Check it on screen (most reliable)
- Open Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll all the way down and tap About phone.
- The very top line shows the Device name, and further down you'll see Model.
- You're looking for G45RY, GUL82, or GYPW4. Any of those three confirms a Pixel 10 Pro XL.
- While you're there, note the IMEI and scroll to Storage in the main Settings menu to confirm 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
✅ Method 2 — Check the regulatory label
- Go to Settings → About phone → Regulatory labels.
- A pop-up appears showing the model number and certification marks.
- This works even if you can't find the Model line elsewhere, and it's the method Google itself recommends.
- If the phone won't power on at all, the model number is also printed on the original retail box.
✅ Method 3 — Physical checks
- Screen size 6.8 inches. Side by side with a Pixel 10 Pro, the XL is visibly taller and wider.
- Magnets in the back. Hold a fridge magnet to the center of the rear glass — it will grip. This is Pixelsnap, and no Pixel before the 10 series has it.
- Matte back glass with a polished aluminum frame. The base Pixel 10 reverses this, with a glossy back and a matte frame.
- Three rear cameras in a horizontal bar, with a small round temperature sensor to the right of the lenses.
- No SIM card tray on US models — the edges are smooth all the way around. US Pixel 10 phones are eSIM only.
- Colors: Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain, or Obsidian.
❌ This is not a Pixel 10 Pro XL if you see any of these
- The screen folds open into a tablet → Pixel 10 Pro Fold (models GU0NP, GM66V).
- Model reads GEHN3, G4QUR, or GN4F5 → Pixel 10 Pro, the 6.3-inch version. Same chip and cameras, smaller body.
- Settings shows 12GB of RAM → base Pixel 10. Every Pro and Pro XL has 16GB.
- Settings shows 128GB of storage → not an XL. The XL started at 256GB.
- The chip reads Tensor G4 or earlier, or a magnet won't stick to the back → Pixel 9 series or older.

Core hardware
Processor & security chip
- Google Tensor G5, built on a 3nm process — the first Tensor chip Google designed and fabricated on this node
- Octa-core: 1× Cortex-X4 at 3.78 GHz, 5× Cortex-A725 at 3.05 GHz, 2× Cortex-A520 at 2.25 GHz
- Titan M2 security coprocessor, plus a Tensor security core and Trusty trusted execution environment
- Runs Gemini Nano on-device for features like Magic Cue, Camera Coach, and Call Assist
Memory & storage
- 16GB of RAM on every configuration — there was no lower-memory option
- Storage: 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The 512GB and 1TB tiers use Zoned UFS for improved sustained performance.
- No microSD card slot. Storage is fixed at purchase and cannot be expanded or upgraded.
- Because capacity can never change, it's one of the two biggest factors in your offer. Check Settings → Storage before quoting — many people misremember which tier they bought.
Rear cameras
- 50MP Octa PD wide — ƒ/1.68, 82° field of view, 1/1.3" sensor

Display & audio
Display
6.8-inch Super Actua display in a 20:9 aspect ratio, running 1344 × 2992 LTPO OLED at 486 pixels per inch. Smooth Display adapts between 1Hz and 120Hz to save battery. Rated up to 2200 nits for HDR content and 3300 nits peak, with a contrast ratio above 2,000,000:1, full 24-bit color depth, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover glass.
OLED burn-in — please check this
This is an OLED panel, so burn-in is a genuine consideration. Static elements like the navigation bar, status bar icons, or a keyboard outline can leave permanent faint ghosting after heavy use. Open a plain white image full-screen at high brightness and look carefully for retained shapes. Burn-in reduces the offer but does not disqualify the phone — we still buy it, and reporting it up front means the quoted number is what you get paid.
Audio
Stereo speakers with three microphones, noise suppression, and Spatial Audio support. Recording features include stereo capture, speech enhancement, wind noise reduction, and audio zoom. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack — audio runs over USB-C or Bluetooth.
Build & durability
Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front, and a silky matte Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back with a polished, spacecraft-grade aluminum frame made from 100% recycled aluminum. IP68 dust and water resistance. 6.4" tall × 3" wide × 0.3" deep (162.8 × 76.6 × 8.5 mm), 8.2 oz (232 g). Note that water resistance diminishes over time and after any repair or drop.
Connectivity & SIM
This generation is fully wireless-first. The single most important thing to know before selling: US Pixel 10 Pro XL units have no physical SIM tray at all, which changes how you prepare the phone for shipping.
- 1× USB Type-C 3.2 (charging, data, and audio out)
- Power button and volume rocker on the right edge
- Dual eSIM — two eSIMs active at once, with storage for eight or more (US models are eSIM only; some international units have a nano-SIM tray)
- Fingerprint Unlock, Face Unlock, and pattern / PIN / password
- Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz with 2×2 MIMO
- Bluetooth v6 with antenna diversity · NFC · Google Cast · Thread
- Ultra-Wideband chip for precise ranging · dual-band GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo)
- Proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, gyrometer, magnetometer, barometer, and a temperature sensor
- 5G mmWave and Sub-6 on US models · Satellite SOS and Car Crash Detection
Not included on this phone: no microSD card slot, no 3.5mm headphone jack, no physical SIM tray on US models, and no charging brick in the box — Google shipped only a 1-meter USB-C to USB-C cable.

Battery, software & more
Battery & charging
Typical 5200 mAh capacity (5079 mAh minimum rating), quoted at 24+ hours of normal use and up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver. Wired fast charging reaches about 70% in 30 minutes with a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher. Pixelsnap wireless charging is Qi2-certified at up to 25W — double the 15W ceiling on the smaller Pixel 10 Pro, thanks to the magnetic alignment.
Battery health matters here
Check Settings → Battery → Battery health to see the estimated capacity remaining. Google's software also reduces charging speed and capacity as a battery ages, so a heavily cycled unit performs differently from a lightly used one. Report this accurately — a worn battery lowers the offer somewhat, but a phone with an undisclosed swollen battery has to be handled specially in shipping, so please tell us if the back glass is lifting.
Software & update support
Launched with Android 16 and backed by seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates from its Google Store release date — meaning support runs into 2032. That commitment is a real driver of resale value, because a buyer today still gets years of guaranteed updates. It also means keeping the phone current before you sell makes it more attractive.
Sustainability & materials
Made with at least 29% recycled materials by product weight, 100% recycled cobalt in the battery cell, 100% recycled rare earth elements in the magnets, 100% recycled tungsten in the haptic engine, and 100% recycled copper and gold in the main logic boards. Packaging is 100% plastic-free.
Accessories that add value
The original box, the USB-C cable, and any Pixelsnap magnetic accessories all help your offer. Because Google didn't include a charger, a compatible 45W USB-C PPS charger is a separate purchase most buyers will need — if you have one that came bundled from a carrier promotion, mention it.
Carrier status
Unlocked units are worth more than carrier-locked ones. Check Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, or contact your carrier to confirm. A phone still under an active installment plan, or reported lost or stolen, cannot be resold — settle any remaining balance with your carrier before shipping.
Frequently asked questions
For storage, go back to the main Settings menu and tap Storage. The total will show as roughly 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. Don't rely on memory here — the difference between tiers is significant to your offer, and the XL never came in 128GB, so if yours shows 128GB you have a different model.
While you're in About phone, note the IMEI as well. We may ask for it to confirm the phone isn't carrier-locked or flagged, and having it ready speeds up your payout. If the phone won't turn on, the model number and IMEI are both printed on the original retail box.
Our model identification guide walks through this for every device we buy.
Pixel 10 Pro (GEHN3, G4QUR, GN4F5) — the hardest one to distinguish, because it shares the identical Tensor G5 chip, the identical 16GB of RAM, and the identical triple camera system. The differences are size and capacity: the Pro has a 6.3-inch screen versus 6.8 inches, a 4870 mAh battery versus 5200 mAh, wireless charging capped at 15W instead of 25W, and it offers a 128GB storage tier the XL never had. If your phone shows 128GB, it's a Pro. Otherwise, check the model number.
Pixel 9 Pro XL (2024) — this is the trap. Google kept the exterior dimensions exactly the same at 162.8 × 76.6 × 8.5 mm, so the two are nearly impossible to tell apart by eye. Three reliable tests: hold a magnet to the back — it grips on the Pixel 10 Pro XL because of the built-in Pixelsnap magnets, and does nothing on the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Check About phone for a chip reading Tensor G5 rather than Tensor G4. And weigh it if you can: 232 grams for the 10 Pro XL versus 221 grams for the 9 Pro XL.
Base Pixel 10 — a 6.3-inch phone with 12GB of RAM rather than 16GB. It also uses a glossy back with a matte frame, the reverse of the Pro finish.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold (GU0NP, GM66V) — opens like a book into an 8-inch inner display. Not easily confused, but it shares the Tensor G5 and 16GB RAM, so the model number is still the safest check.
A few points specific to this model. Because the back is glass and now houses magnets, rear glass cracks matter more than they used to — a damaged back can affect wireless charging alignment, so report it. If the phone has been repaired before, note that too: any disassembly reduces the IP68 water resistance rating, and buyers care about that. And if the back glass is lifting away from the frame, that usually indicates a swollen battery — please tell us so we can pack and ship it safely.
One thing that genuinely prevents a sale: a phone still tied to an unpaid carrier installment plan, or one reported lost or stolen. Settle any balance and confirm the IMEI is clear before shipping. See FAQ 05 for the Google account steps, which are equally non-negotiable.
Being upfront about damage never costs you money. It just means the quoted number is the number you actually get paid.
Something specific to Pixels is worth knowing: because Google committed to seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates from the August 2025 release, a buyer purchasing this phone today still gets guaranteed support into 2032. That long tail keeps used Pixel prices firmer than most Android flagships, so don't assume a two-year-old Pixel isn't worth selling.
Many people don't realize that Gadget Salvation runs a full trade-in service, not a recycling drop-off — we've been buying used electronics for cash since 2008. You get an instant online quote, a prepaid UPS shipping label at no cost, free inspection by our technicians, and payment within two business days of your phone arriving. No listing to write, no buyer to meet in a parking lot, no returns to process, and no chargeback risk. Unlike Google's own trade-in program, which pays in store credit locked to a new Google Store purchase, we pay real money you can spend anywhere. Our pricing algorithm pulls live resale data from eBay, Amazon, and Rakuten, so the figure reflects today's market rather than a fixed depreciation table.

1. Turn off Find My Device: Settings → Security & privacy → Device finders.
2. Remove your Google account: Settings → Passwords & accounts → tap your account → Remove account. Skipping this leaves Factory Reset Protection active, which locks the phone to your credentials even after a reset and makes it unsellable until you clear it.
3. Transfer or delete your eSIMs. This is the step most people miss on a Pixel 10. Since US models have no physical SIM to pull out, your carrier line lives inside the phone. Move it to your new device through your carrier's app first, then go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Erase eSIM.
4. Remove any paired Pixel Watch or Fitbit, and delete saved payment cards from Google Wallet.
5. Factory reset: Settings → System → Reset options → Erase all data (factory reset).
6. Leave it at the Welcome setup screen and power it down.
Once your phone reaches our facility, all storage is wiped with NIST-compliant erasure software that goes well beyond a standard factory reset, and any device that can't be cleared is physically destroyed and recycled. The full process is documented on our data erasure protocols page.
Payment is issued within two business days of your phone arriving and passing inspection. Choose PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or a mailed company check. Shipping is free and insured in both directions — we email you a prepaid UPS label. Wrap the phone in bubble wrap inside a sturdy box, and don't ship it in a padded envelope alone; the glass back is the most common casualty in transit.
