The HP Pavilion x360 14 (chassis code 14-ek, covering the 14-ek0000 from 2022 and the 13th-gen 14-ek1000 / 14-ek2000 from 2023–2024) is HP's mainstream 14-inch convertible 2-in-1 — a touchscreen laptop whose 360° hinge lets it flip between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. With a slim aluminum-and-recycled-plastic build, B&O tuned audio, and pen support, it's a popular pick for students, home users, and casual creators. If you've upgraded and are wondering where to sell your old one, our trade-in service buys these directly for cash — you may not realize a convertible like this still holds resale value. See our guide on the HP laptop trade-in process. Because the x360 14 shipped in a range of processor, memory, and storage options, your exact configuration determines its resale price. Select your components using the tool above to view an instant cash offer for your specific device.

Before you start — confirm the generation. "Pavilion x360 14" has been used across many years. This page covers the 14-ek chassis (2022–2024). Earlier convertibles with the same marketing name — the 14-dh (2019–2020), 14-dw, and 14-dy (2020–2022) — are separate devices with their own quote pages, and they differ in one key way: those older models have upgradable RAM, while this 14-ek generation does not (see below). There's also a 15.6-inch Pavilion x360 15 that is a different machine. The chassis code printed on the bottom label (look for "14-ek…") is the surest way to confirm you're on the right page.

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • 14-ek0000 (2022): 12th-gen Intel "Alder Lake" — Core i3-1215U, i5-1235U, i7-1255U
  • 14-ek1000 / 14-ek2000 (2023–2024): 13th-gen Intel "Raptor Lake" — Core i3-1315U, i5-1335U, i7-1355U
  • All are 10W–15W U-series chips; the i5/i7 are 10-core (2P + 8E) designs

Graphics (GPU)

  • Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics (on i5 and i7 models)
  • Integrated Intel UHD Graphics (on the i3 models)
  • There is no discrete graphics option — graphics are integrated into the CPU

Memory (RAM)

  • DDR4 in 8GB or 16GB configurations (dual-channel)
  • Important: on this 14-ek generation the RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded — the capacity your laptop shipped with is fixed. Choose carefully when reporting your config, as this is set for the life of the machine.

Storage

  • M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (256GB / 512GB / 1TB)
  • Single M.2 2280 slot — the SSD is replaceable via the bottom panel (no 2.5-inch bay)
  • This is the one user-serviceable component, unlike the soldered RAM

Display & audio

Display

14-inch FHD (1920 × 1080) IPS multitouch panel with edge-to-edge glass, micro-edge bezels, 250 nits, and 45% NTSC color. The touchscreen supports pen input via the HP Tilt Pen (sold separately). The 360° hinge enables laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes.

Audio

Dual speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen (B&O) with HP Audio Boost, plus a dual-array microphone for video calls.

Ports & connectivity

A clean, modern port set for a convertible. The USB-C port handles 10Gbps data, DisplayPort video output, and USB Power Delivery charging; HDMI is the newer 2.1 standard. Note there is no SD/media card reader on the 14-ek.

Right Side
  • 1× USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) (DisplayPort + USB Power Delivery)
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps)
  • 1× 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack
Left Side
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps)
  • 1× HDMI 2.1
  • 1× AC smart-pin power input

Wi-Fi 6 / 6E Bluetooth 5.3

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

3-cell ~43 Whr battery with HP Fast Charge — about 50% in 45 minutes from the included 45W adapter, and USB-C charging is also supported. Battery health is a common resale factor on convertibles, so grade it honestly above.

Camera & mic

Integrated 720p HD webcam (5MP on some 2024 builds) with a physical privacy shutter and a dual-array microphone. Select configurations add an IR camera for Windows Hello facial sign-in.

Keyboard & pen

Full-size keyboard, backlit on most configurations (a few entry builds omit the backlight). Touchscreen supports the HP Tilt Pen / MPP-compatible styluses, sold separately.

Build & security

Aluminum lid and keyboard deck with ocean-bound and post-consumer recycled plastics. Includes TPM 2.0, an optional fingerprint reader, and the webcam privacy shutter.

Weight

≈ 1.5–1.64 kg (3.3–3.6 lb), depending on configuration.

Dimensions

321 × 213 × 19.9 mm (12.65" × 8.39" × 0.78").

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm I have the 14-ek model and not an older Pavilion x360 14?
The cleanest check is the chassis code on the regulatory label on the bottom cover: this page covers 14-ek0000, 14-ek1000, and 14-ek2000. If your label reads 14-dh, 14-dw, or 14-dy, that's an older generation with different internals (and upgradable RAM) — it has its own quote page. You can also tell by processor: a 12th- or 13th-gen Intel chip (i3-1215U/1315U, i5-1235U/1335U, i7-1255U/1355U) points to the 14-ek. The full model and serial appear in Windows under Settings → System → About. For step-by-step help, see our HP model-number guide or the general how to find your laptop model number walkthrough.
02 Can I upgrade the RAM on this model?
No — on the 14-ek generation the memory is soldered to the motherboard, so the RAM cannot be changed or expanded; whatever it shipped with (8GB or 16GB) is what it has for good. The SSD, however, is a standard M.2 drive you can replace or enlarge. When requesting your quote, just report the RAM and storage your laptop currently has — a 16GB / 512GB or 1TB configuration is worth more than the common 8GB / 256GB baseline. (If you have an older 14-dy or 14-dw, that one does have upgradable RAM — make sure you're using its quote page instead.)
03 How do I wipe my data and sign out before shipping?
Back up your files, photos, and anything else you want to keep to an external drive or the cloud first. Then sign out of your Microsoft account and any other linked services. You don't need to remove the SSD yourself; once your laptop reaches us, our team runs certified multi-pass data sanitation on every drive. Full details are on our data erasure protocols page.
04 Which configurations raise my Pavilion x360 14 trade-in value the most?
Since RAM is fixed and there's no discrete GPU, the processor, the amount of soldered RAM, and the SSD size drive most of the value. A 13th-gen Core i7-1355U (or i5-1335U) with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB or 1TB SSD sits well above an entry i3 / 8GB / 256GB build. A backlit keyboard, fingerprint or IR sign-in, and overall cosmetic condition (the touchscreen and hinge especially) also matter. Our blog on selling your laptop as a first-time seller covers how to prep for the best offer.
05 How fast do I get paid, and what payment methods are available?
After your Pavilion arrives and our intake team finishes functional testing, payment is approved within about two business days. You can choose fast electronic options — PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App — or a traditional mailed check. Inbound shipping is free and fully insured with a prepaid label. Selling more than one device? You can add multiple gadgets to a single shipment, or use our bulk selling program for larger lots.
