- Paid within 2 business days
- No selling fees, unlike marketplaces
The Apple Mac Studio (2022), released on March 18, 2022 as Apple's first compact pro-desktop workstation, packs Mac Pro-class performance into a 7.7-inch-square Silver aluminum enclosure that slides neatly under most displays. It shipped in two distinct silicon tiers — the Apple M1 Max and the more powerful Apple M1 Ultra — and your exact chip, unified memory, and SSD capacity together drive its resale price. Before requesting a quote, confirm you have the 2022 M1-generation Mac Studio (model Mac13,1 / Mac13,2) and not the later M2-, M3-, or M4-generation Mac Studio, which share the identical chassis but are valued separately. If you're an owner trying to sell online, this is also where you'll discover our trade-in service: Gadget Salvation buys Mac Studio workstations directly for cash, with free shipping and no listings or haggling. Select your chip and configuration using our tool above to view an instant cash offer for your exact device.
Confirm you have the 2022 M1 Mac Studio
Because every Mac Studio generation uses the same silver enclosure, it's easy to land on the wrong page. The 2022 model is the only one built on Apple's M1 Max and M1 Ultra chips. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen, choose About This Mac, and verify the chip reads "Apple M1 Max" or "Apple M1 Ultra." If it lists an M2, M3, or M4 chip, you have a newer generation and should use that device's page instead. Our guide to finding your gadget's model walks through locating the exact identifier.

Power, build & more
Power supply
Built-in internal power supply (no external brick). Line voltage 100–240V AC; maximum continuous power 370W.
Cooling
A dual-blower thermal system sized to the silicon tier — an aluminum heatsink on M1 Max models and a heavier copper heatsink on the hotter-running M1 Ultra, which accounts for most of the weight difference between the two.
Dimensions
3.7" H × 7.7" W × 7.7" D (9.5 × 19.7 × 19.7 cm).
Weight
M1 Max: ≈ 5.9 lb (2.7 kg). M1 Ultra: ≈ 7.9 lb (3.6 kg) — the copper heatsink adds the extra mass.
In the box
Mac Studio and a power cord. Keyboard, mouse, and display are sold separately — including these accessories does not change a resale quote.
Operating system
Shipped with macOS Monterey and remains supported on current macOS releases, including Apple Intelligence features on compatible versions.
