The MAINGEAR Super 16, launched on September 4, 2025, is a 16-inch performance gaming laptop that MAINGEAR co-developed with Taiwanese laptop maker Clevo. Every Super 16 shares the same core platform: an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU running at a full 140W, and a 16-inch 2560 × 1600 display that refreshes at 300Hz. The configurations differ in memory (32GB, 64GB, or 96GB of DDR5) and storage (2TB or 4TB, with room for up to three SSDs). MAINGEAR sold it as a ready-to-ship "Standard" or "Boost" build, or as a fully custom order, so check your unit's RAM and storage before you calculate an offer.

How to confirm you have a MAINGEAR Super 16

Check these physical and software details. They separate the Super 16 from other 16-inch gaming laptops that look alike on the outside.

✅ It IS a Super 16 if…

  • Windows reports an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU. MAINGEAR sold the Super 16 with no other CPU or GPU.
  • The screen runs at 2560 × 1600 and up to 300Hz (Settings → System → Display → Advanced display)
  • The HDMI, Ethernet, and round DC power ports are on the back edge, and an RGB light bar runs along the rear
  • Both USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports and the microSD slot are on the right side
  • The metal display lid has a stamped MAINGEAR logo, and the laptop weighs about 5 lb
  • The computer was bought in September 2025 or later

❌ It is NOT a Super 16 if…

  • The processor is an Intel Core i7/i9 (13th or 14th Gen), a Core Ultra 7, or any AMD Ryzen chip
  • The graphics card is from the RTX 40 series (RTX 4060, 4070, 4080, 4090) or any RTX 50-series GPU other than the 5070 Ti
  • The display is OLED, 1920 × 1080, or 240Hz or lower
  • It connects over Wi-Fi 6E rather than Wi-Fi 7
  • It has a 17- or 18-inch screen
  • The bottom label shows another brand's name, even when the chassis looks similar (see FAQ 02)

Not tech-savvy? Here's the easiest way to check: press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter. The System Information window lists your Processor (look for "Core Ultra 9 275HX") and your Installed Physical Memory (RAM), which will read 32, 64, or 96 GB. To confirm the graphics card, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, select Performance, and click GPU 1. The name "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU" appears in the top-right corner. For more help, see our guide to finding your laptop's model number and our guide to finding your processor type.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out exactly which MAINGEAR Super 16 configuration I have?
Every Super 16 has the same processor and graphics card, so for your quote you only need to know your memory and storage. First, check the memory: press the Windows key, type msinfo32, press Enter, and find "Installed Physical Memory (RAM)." It will show 32, 64, or 96 GB. Next, check the storage: open Settings → System → Storage → Advanced storage settings → Disks & volumes to see each SSD installed and its size (about 1.8 TB means a 2 TB drive, and about 3.6 TB means a 4 TB drive). If you still have your MAINGEAR order confirmation email, it lists the exact build, including whether you bought the Standard or Boost version. The serial number sticker on the bottom of the laptop also helps if you ever need to contact MAINGEAR. For more help, visit our laptop model number guide.
02 My MAINGEAR laptop looks similar. How do I know it's a Super 16 and not an older 16-inch model?
Before the Super 16, MAINGEAR sold a 16-inch laptop called the ML-16, and it looks similar. The ML-16 used 13th-Gen Intel Core i9 or Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, RTX 40-series graphics (such as the RTX 4060, 4070, or 4080), and Wi-Fi 6E. If Task Manager shows any RTX 40-series GPU, you have an ML-16, not a Super 16, and it needs a different quote. Clevo also builds laptops that other boutique brands sell under their own names, so a similar-looking chassis with another brand's logo on the lid or bottom label is not a MAINGEAR Super 16. A genuine Super 16 always reports an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, an RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, and a 300Hz, 2560 × 1600 screen. If any of those three don't match, request a custom quote and tell us what your laptop reports.
03 Can I sell a Super 16 that's damaged, worn, or has upgraded parts?
Yes. We buy laptops in every condition, from brand-new to broken. That includes cracked screens, dead batteries, sticky or missing keys, broken hinges, units that won't power on, and scuffed lids. Choose the cosmetic grade and check any issues that apply in the quote tool above, and your offer will reflect them. The Super 16's RAM and SSDs aren't soldered, so upgrades are common. If you added memory yourself, select the amount that is installed now, not the amount you originally ordered. If you added extra SSDs, or your storage doesn't match the 2TB or 4TB options above, request a custom quote so we can price the extra drives. If you removed a drive or the RAM before shipping, check "Defective/Missing Storage" or describe what's missing so your offer stays accurate.
04 What affects my Super 16's trade-in value, and why sell to Gadget Salvation?
Many people don't realize that every Super 16 has the same processor and graphics card. Your offer therefore depends mostly on memory, storage, and condition. The 96GB and 64GB configurations are worth more than the 32GB base model, and a 4TB drive is worth more than 2TB. A clean screen with no dead pixels, a healthy battery, and the original 230W power adapter all keep your offer at its highest. Gadget Salvation has bought used electronics since 2008. Instead of listing your laptop online, answering buyer messages, and risking scams, you get an instant quote, a free prepaid and insured shipping label, and no selling fees. See how it works, browse our gaming laptop buyback page, or read our guide for first-time laptop sellers. If you have several laptops from an office, school, or esports team, use our bulk selling program.
05 How do I prepare my Super 16 for shipping, and how do I get paid?
Before you ship, back up your files and game saves to the cloud or an external drive. Then sign out of your Microsoft account, Steam, and other launchers, and turn off Find my device (Settings → Privacy & security). If BitLocker or Device Encryption is on, save your recovery key or turn encryption off. You can reset Windows under Settings → System → Recovery → Reset this PC → Remove everything. If a company or school issued your laptop, have your IT department release it from Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or other device management first. You don't need to remove the SSDs yourself, because every drive we receive goes through certified data erasure. Learn more on our data erasure protocols page. Pack the laptop following our shipping instructions and use the free, insured label we send you. After your Super 16 arrives and passes inspection, you'll be paid within 1 business day via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or a mailed check (whichever you prefer).
