The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 (officially the Surface Pro, 11th Edition) is Microsoft's first Copilot+ PC tablet, launched in June 2024 with Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors and expanded through early 2025 with 5G and Intel-powered business versions. The family covers four model numbers: 2076 (Wi-Fi, Snapdragon), 2077 and 2078 (Wi-Fi + 5G), 2085 (Snapdragon for Business), and 2103 (Intel Core Ultra for Business). All share the same slim 13-inch 2-in-1 chassis with a built-in kickstand, a detachable keyboard, and a dedicated AI processor (NPU) for Windows Copilot+ features. Because every configuration — processor, screen type, memory, storage, and cellular option — carries a different resale value, identifying your exact unit is the key to an accurate offer. If you're ready to sell your Surface Pro 11, many people don't realize you can trade it in online for cash: simply select your configuration in the quote tool above to see an instant offer for your exact device.

How to confirm you have a Surface Pro 11

✓ Your device is an 11th Edition if…

  • Settings > System > About lists the processor as a Snapdragon X Plus, Snapdragon X Elite, or an Intel Core Ultra 5 236V / 238V or Core Ultra 7 266V / 268V
  • The Device name / System Model reads "Microsoft Surface Pro, 11th Edition" or "Surface Pro for Business 11th Edition with Intel"
  • The fine print near the kickstand hinge shows model 2076, 2077, 2078, 2085, or 2103
  • It has a 13-inch screen, two USB-C ports on the left edge, a Surface Connect charging port on the right, and no headphone jack

✗ It is NOT an 11th Edition if…

  • The processor is a Snapdragon X2 — that's the 2026 Surface Pro 13-inch (12th Edition), which confusingly reuses the same model numbers on its label
  • The processor is an Intel Core i5/i7 (12th Gen) or Microsoft SQ3 — that's the Surface Pro 9
  • The processor is an Intel Core Ultra 5 135U / Ultra 7 165U — that's the Surface Pro 10 for Business
  • The screen is 12 inches and there's no Surface Connect port — that's the smaller 2025 Surface Pro 12-inch, a different (lower-value) device

The quickest check requires no technical knowledge at all: open Settings > System > About on the tablet and read the processor line. Snapdragon X Plus, Snapdragon X Elite, or an Intel Core Ultra ending in "V" means you're on this page's device. Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-64-100) — 10 cores, up to 3.4 GHz; paired with the LCD screen
  • Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) — 12 cores, up to 4.0 GHz; paired with the OLED screen
  • Intel Core Ultra 5 236V / 238V — 8 cores; business models with LCD (released Feb 2025)
  • Intel Core Ultra 7 266V / 268V — 8 cores; business models with OLED (released Feb 2025)
  • Every version includes a dedicated AI processor (NPU) with 40+ TOPS for Copilot+ features

Graphics (GPU)

  • Snapdragon models: integrated Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 (3.8 TFLOPS)
  • Intel business models: integrated Intel Arc 130V (Ultra 5) or Arc 140V (Ultra 7)
  • No dedicated graphics card was offered on any configuration

Memory (RAM)

  • 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5x on virtually all retail configurations (Microsoft's spec sheet also lists a rare 64GB option on select later units)
  • Memory is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded — the amount your unit shipped with is permanent, so select it accurately when quoting

Storage

  • 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB Gen 4 NVMe SSD
  • Compact M.2 2232 drive, user-removable behind a magnetic door under the kickstand — a rarity among tablets
  • Because the drive can be swapped, double-check your actual capacity in Settings before quoting

Display & audio

Display

13-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen, 2880 × 1920 resolution, tall 3:2 aspect ratio, with a smooth dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz. Two panel types were sold and they affect resale value: a 600-nit LCD (Snapdragon X Plus and Intel Ultra 5 models) and a premium HDR OLED with near-infinite contrast (Snapdragon X Elite and Intel Ultra 7 models). Both support the Surface Slim Pen with 4,096 pressure levels.

Audio & cameras

2W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and dual far-field Studio Mics. The front-facing Quad HD (1440p) camera supports Windows Hello face sign-in and AI-powered Windows Studio Effects; a 10MP Ultra HD camera sits on the rear. Note there is no 3.5mm headphone jack — the Surface Pro 11 was the first in the Pro line to drop it entirely.

Ports & connectivity

The port selection is minimal by design, so knowing what's absent matters as much as what's present when describing your unit to a buyer.

Left Side
  • 2× USB-C ports (USB4 with DisplayPort and charging on Snapdragon models; Thunderbolt 4 on Intel business models)
  • 1× nanoSIM tray (5G models 2077 / 2078 only — the easiest physical clue that you own the cellular version)
Right Side & Absent Ports
  • 1× Surface Connect port (magnetic charging and docking)
  • No 3.5mm headphone jack
  • No USB-A, no microSD card slot, no HDMI, no Ethernet

Wi-Fi 7 Bluetooth 5.4 Optional 5G (models 2077 / 2078) NFC (Intel business model only)

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

48Wh battery in LCD models and 53Wh in OLED models, rated for up to 14 hours of local video playback. Charges through the Surface Connect port or either USB-C port, with fast charging supported at 65W and above.

Keyboard & pen

Sold separately: the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard (works attached or fully detached) and the standard Surface Pro Keyboard, both with built-in wireless charging storage for the Surface Slim Pen (2nd Edition). Including these accessories with your trade-in is always worth mentioning.

Build & colors

Aluminum chassis with the signature built-in kickstand. Consumer colors: Sapphire, Dune, Platinum, and Black; business models shipped in Platinum and Black only.

Release timeline

Announced May 20, 2024. Wi-Fi Snapdragon models released June 18, 2024; business Snapdragon versions September 2024; 5G models October 2024; Intel Core Ultra business models February 18, 2025.

Weight

≈ 895 g (1.97 lb) for the tablet alone, before any keyboard is attached.

Dimensions

287 × 209 × 9.3 mm (11.3" × 8.2" × 0.37").

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I identify my exact Surface Pro 11 configuration to get a quote?
Everything you need is in one place: open Settings > System > About on the tablet. The "Processor" line tells you whether you have the Snapdragon X Plus, Snapdragon X Elite, or an Intel Core Ultra chip, and "Installed RAM" shows your memory. For storage, go to Settings > System > Storage. The screen type follows the processor: X Plus and Intel Ultra 5 units have the LCD, while X Elite and Intel Ultra 7 units have the OLED. If you spot a SIM tray on the left edge, you own the 5G version (model 2077 or 2078). Our find your gadget's model guide walks through each step with pictures.
02 How do I make sure I'm not confusing it with the Surface Pro 9, Pro 10, Pro 12-inch, or the newer 12th Edition?
The processor name is your most reliable clue, because several Surface Pro generations look nearly identical — and the 2026 Surface Pro 13-inch (12th Edition) even reuses the same model numbers (2076, 2085, and others) on its label, so the number alone isn't proof. Check Settings > System > About: Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite (or Intel Core Ultra ending in "V") means 11th Edition. A Snapdragon X2 means the newer 12th Edition; an Intel Core i5/i7 or Microsoft SQ3 means the older Surface Pro 9; and an Intel Core Ultra 135U/165U means the Surface Pro 10 for Business. Also watch for the 2025 Surface Pro 12-inch — a smaller, cheaper tablet often mislabeled "Surface Pro 12" — which has a 12-inch screen and no magnetic Surface Connect charging port. Selecting the wrong generation changes your quote, so this thirty-second check is worth it.
03 Can I sell a Surface Pro 11 with a cracked screen, weak battery, or missing keyboard?
Yes. We buy Surface Pro tablets in a wide range of conditions — cracked or scratched glass (a common fate for the OLED models), batteries that drain quickly, wobbly kickstands, dead pixels, or units missing the keyboard, pen, or charger. Simply answer the condition questions honestly in the quote tool above and you'll get a firm cash offer that reflects your unit as it actually is. And if you still have the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard or Slim Pen, keep them with the tablet: complete bundles are always easier to sell. For tips on maximizing what you get back, read our what to do before selling an old Surface Pro guide on the blog.
04 How does the online trade-in process actually work?
Many people don't realize that trading in a used tablet online for cash is even an option — most assume their only choices are store-credit programs or the hassle of selling it themselves on a marketplace. It's simpler than that: select your Surface Pro 11 configuration and condition above to lock in an offer, check out, and print the free, fully insured shipping label we email you. Once your tablet arrives at our facility and passes inspection, payment is issued within two business days by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check. There are no listing fees, no haggling with strangers, and no waiting for a buyer. You can see every step laid out on our how it works page, or browse other devices we buy on the sell your tablet page.
05 Do I need to wipe my data, remove the SSD, or unlink my Microsoft account first?
There's no need to open the SSD door under the kickstand — leave the drive installed. Our technicians perform a certified data sanitization on every device we receive; you can review the full process on our data erasure protocols page. Before shipping, we do recommend three quick steps: back up your files to the cloud or an external drive, remove the tablet from your Microsoft account (sign in at account.microsoft.com, find the device, and choose Remove), and run Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC. If BitLocker encryption is turned on, disable it before resetting. Our step-by-step Surface Pro trade-in preparation guide covers all of this in detail.
