The MSI Bravo 15 Series is MSI's all-AMD (and later AMD-plus-NVIDIA) 15.6-inch gaming laptop line, sold across several generations from 2020 through 2023. Every Bravo 15 pairs an AMD Ryzen H-series processor with a fast 144Hz FHD display and MSI's Cooler Boost thermal system, but the graphics and processor change significantly from one generation to the next — earlier models use AMD Radeon RX graphics, while the newest use NVIDIA GeForce RTX. Because this page covers the whole series, the first step in quoting is identifying which generation you have. Your processor tier (Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 5) and the rest of your configuration dictate the final resale price. Identify your Bravo 15 generation first

The Bravo 15 name spans four main generations. The model code on the bottom cover (and the processor) tells them apart:

A4DDR / A4DCR — 2020

  • AMD Ryzen 4000 series: Ryzen 7 4800H / Ryzen 5 4600H
  • AMD Radeon RX 5500M (4GB) graphics

B5DD — 2021

  • AMD Ryzen 5000 series: Ryzen 7 5800H / Ryzen 5 5600H
  • AMD Radeon RX 5500M (4GB) graphics

B7E / B7H — 2023

  • AMD Ryzen 7000 series: Ryzen 7 7735HS
  • AMD Radeon RX 6550M graphics

C7V — 2023

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4050 graphics — the only RTX-equipped Bravo 15

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • Ryzen 7 tier: Ryzen 7 4800H (2020), Ryzen 7 5800H (2021), or Ryzen 7 7735HS (2023) — 8 cores, 16 threads
  • Ryzen 5 tier: Ryzen 5 4600H (2020) or Ryzen 5 5600H (2021) — 6 cores, 12 threads
  • All are AMD H-series gaming processors with integrated Radeon graphics on the chip

Graphics (GPU)

  • AMD Radeon RX 5500M (4GB GDDR6) — 2020 and 2021 models
  • AMD Radeon RX 6550M — 2023 B7E/B7H models
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8GB) or RTX 4050 (6GB) — 2023 C7V models only

Memory (RAM)

  • DDR4-3200 (2020/2021 models) or DDR5-4800/5600 (2023 models)
  • Factory options of 8GB or 16GB
  • Two SO-DIMM slots, user-upgradable (commonly to 32GB or 64GB)

Storage

  • M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (Gen3 on early models, Gen4 on 2023 models)
  • Factory capacities of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB
  • Typically a second M.2 slot for adding a drive (varies by generation)

A note on value when quoting: on a gaming laptop the graphics card is the largest single factor, and the Bravo 15's GPU depends entirely on generation — the RTX 4060 in a 2023 C7V is worth substantially more than the Radeon RX 5500M in a 2020/2021 model. Newer generation and a Ryzen 7 (over a Ryzen 5) also raise value, as do more RAM and a larger SSD. Because the memory and storage are upgradable, any expansion carries toward the offer. Select the components your laptop currently reports in Windows when quoting.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm which MSI Bravo 15 generation I have?
Check the model code on the bottom cover or in MSI Center: A4DDR/A4DCR is the 2020 model (Ryzen 4000), B5DD is 2021 (Ryzen 5000), and B7E/B7H or C7V are 2023 (Ryzen 7000). The processor and graphics confirm it — a Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon RX 5500M is the 2020 model, while a Ryzen 7 7735HS with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 is the 2023 C7V. Check our guide to finding your laptop's model number for full steps.
02 Can I trade in a Bravo 15 with wear or system issues?
Yes. We purchase gaming laptops in all operational states and across all Bravo 15 generations. Whether your unit runs like new, has a worn battery, loud or failing fans, a cracked screen, or thermal throttling, adjusting your condition grading choices above will lock in a firm cash value.
03 Should I wipe or remove my SSD before shipping?
We recommend saving your games and personal files to an external drive or cloud storage and signing out of your accounts before packaging. You don't need to remove the M.2 SSD yourself — our technical team runs certified, multi-pass data sanitation on every incoming drive. If your laptop has a second SSD installed, leave it in; we wipe all drives. Review the steps on our data erasure protocols page.
04 Which configurations raise my trade-in value the most?
Generation and graphics matter most. A 2023 C7V with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 quotes well above an older 2020/2021 model with a Radeon RX 5500M. Within any generation, a Ryzen 7 (over a Ryzen 5), 16GB or more of RAM, and a larger SSD all raise value. Because the RAM and storage are upgradable, any expansion you've made carries toward the offer. As the oldest models age, their overall value ceiling is lower than the newest Bravo 15 generations.
05 Does the Bravo 15 have AMD or NVIDIA graphics?
It depends on the generation. The 2020, 2021, and most 2023 (B7E/B7H) models use AMD Radeon RX graphics (RX 5500M or RX 6550M). Only the 2023 C7V model uses NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics (RTX 4060 or 4050). This is the biggest difference between Bravo 15 generations and the main reason values vary so much across the series, so it's worth confirming your exact model before quoting.
06 What is the turnaround for my cash payout?

We pay through fast electronic methods such as PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, or by physical check mailed to you. Your prepaid shipping label is completely free and fully insured from start to finish.
