The Nothing Phone (2), released in July 2023, is the London-based brand's second-generation flagship and its first phone built on a premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chip. It is instantly recognizable by its semi-transparent back panel and the signature Glyph Interface — the array of programmable white LED strips that light up for calls, notifications, and charging. The global model carries the code A065 printed on the back, and it shipped in three memory/storage configurations. Because Nothing sells several similar-looking phones — the Phone (1), the mid-range Phone (2a), and later models — confirming that you have the Phone (2) specifically is the key to an accurate quote. Select your storage and condition using our tool above to see an instant cash offer. Not sure exactly which Nothing phone you own? The steps below make it easy.

Confirm you have the Nothing Phone (2)

You don't need to be tech-savvy to check this. The fastest way is to open Settings → About Phone and read the "Device name" / "Model" line, or simply look at the small print on the transparent back panel near the bottom. Here's what confirms it:

✅ This is the Phone (2) if…

  • The model code is A065 (or AIN065 for the India variant)
  • "About Phone" shows Nothing Phone (2)
  • The screen measures 6.7 inches
  • The Glyph on the back has 11 individually controllable LED segments

❌ This is NOT the Phone (2) if…

  • Code A063 or a 6.55" screen with 5 Glyph segments → that's the older Phone (1)
  • Model shows Phone (2a) or Phone (2a) Plus → a different mid-range model with a plastic frame
  • Model shows Phone (3a) or Phone (3) → newer models

The Phone (2), Phone (1), and Phone (2a) all share the same see-through, glowing-LED look, so it's genuinely easy to mix them up at a glance — always confirm by the A065 code or the "About Phone" screen rather than by appearance. Need help finding it? See our guide to finding your gadget's model.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I check exactly which Nothing phone I have?
Open your phone's Settings app, scroll down to About Phone, and look at the device name and model number. The Nothing Phone (2) shows the model code A065 (or AIN065 if you bought it in India). You can also read the fine print on the transparent back panel. If the phone won't turn on, the model code is printed on the original box and on the SIM tray in some regions. Our find-your-gadget guide walks through this step by step.
02 How is the Phone (2) different from the Phone (1) and Phone (2a)?
All of Nothing's phones share the transparent back and glowing Glyph lights, so they're easy to confuse — but they price very differently. The Phone (1) (model A063) is the older 2022 model with a 6.55" screen and only 5 Glyph segments. The Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus are mid-range models with a plastic frame and a different chip, despite the similar name. The Phone (2) you're pricing here is the premium 2023 flagship: 6.7" screen, aluminum frame, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and 11 Glyph segments, with the code A065. Picking the wrong model on our site can change your quote and cause a mismatch when we inspect the device, so confirm the A065 code before you submit.
03 Can I sell a Phone (2) with a cracked screen, scratches, or a worn battery?
Yes. We buy the Phone (2) in every condition, from mint to heavily damaged. Whether yours is flawless, has scuffs or a cracked front or back glass, has a battery that drains quickly, has a faulty Glyph light, or won't power on, just choose the matching condition options above and your quote updates automatically. Damage lowers the offer but rarely makes a phone worthless — it's always worth getting the estimate before assuming otherwise.
04 What raises my Phone (2) value the most — and did you know we buy phones directly for cash?
Many people don't realize that Gadget Salvation runs a full online trade-in / buyback service for smartphones — you skip the marketplace listings, lowball messages, and meetups entirely. You get an instant quote here, ship the phone with a free prepaid label, and get paid in real cash (not store credit). On value, the biggest factors are storage (the 512GB model is worth more than the 128GB), condition (an intact front and back glass matters a lot on a glass-backed phone), and whether the device is carrier-unlocked. Including the original box and charger can also help. Ready to go? Start a smartphone quote here or read how it works.
05 How do I wipe my data before shipping, and how do I get paid?
Back up anything you want to keep (Google Photos or Google Backup makes this easy), then — this part is important — remove your Google account before you factory reset. Go to Settings → Accounts, remove your Google account to disable Factory Reset Protection (FRP), then reset the phone via Settings → System → Reset options → Erase all data (factory reset). If you skip removing the account first, FRP can lock the phone for the next owner and we won't be able to process it. Remember to take out your SIM card, too. Our blog has full walkthroughs on how to reset an Android phone and how to wipe your phone before selling. Every device we receive is also erased with NIST-compliant software — see our data erasure protocols. Once your phone arrives and passes inspection, payment is approved within about two business days via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or a mailed check. The prepaid shipping label is free and insured.
