Samsung Galaxy S10 arrived in 2019 as Samsung's mainstream flagship for that year, positioned between the compact S10e and the larger S10+. It introduced the punch-hole Infinity-O display to the S line, along with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a triple rear camera. In the US, it's most often identified as SM-G973U1. Years later, it still holds value because of its Quad HD+ AMOLED screen, a headphone jack most current phones dropped, and expandable storage that keeps older photo libraries usable. Pick your storage size and condition above for an instant cash offer, or see how the process works before you sell your smartphone.

Confirm you have the Galaxy S10

On the phone itself, go to Settings → About phone → Model number. That string tells you the exact variant. If the phone won't boot, the model number is also printed in small type on the original box, and sometimes under the SIM tray on a pull-out label.

SM-G973U1

  • US unlocked variant, factory-unlocked for any carrier
  • Snapdragon 855 platform
  • Sold new by Samsung.com and major US retailers

Prefer a visual check? The S10 has a single centered punch-hole camera and a 6.1-inch curved display. The S10+ has two front cameras side by side and a noticeably larger 6.4-inch screen. The S10e is smaller, has flat (not curved) glass, and its fingerprint reader is a side button, not built into the screen.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find the model number or exact configuration?
Go to Settings → About phone → Model number. That confirms you have SM-G973U1 rather than a S10+ or S10e board. Storage size shows on the same screen, under Settings → About phone → Storage, or Settings → Battery and device care → Storage. If the screen is cracked or the phone won't power on, you can also use our device model finder to work from the box or the label under the SIM tray.
02 How do I tell it apart from the Galaxy S10+?
Look at the front camera and the screen size. The S10 has one centered punch-hole camera and a 6.1-inch display. The S10+ has two front cameras placed side by side and a larger 6.4-inch display. Side by side, the S10+ is noticeably taller and wider, and slightly heavier. If you only have one phone in hand, the single versus dual front camera is the fastest tell.
03 Can I sell it with damage, a weak battery, or if it won't turn on?
Yes. A cracked screen, a battery that drains fast, or a phone that won't power on still has resale value, and the condition picker above adjusts the quote to match. What matters more is your Google account and any screen lock: the phone must be signed out of your Samsung account and Google account, and Factory Reset Protection must be off, before it's shipped. A locked phone can't be resold and typically can't be paid out.
04 What raises the trade-in value the most?
Storage size and screen condition move the offer the most. A 512GB unit in good condition is worth more than a 128GB unit in the same shape, and a clean, unscratched AMOLED display matters more than most other cosmetic wear, since replacing that screen is one of the costlier repairs on this model. Original box and charger help a little but rarely change the offer much on their own.
05 How do I erase it, remove my accounts, and get paid?
Back up anything you want to keep, then go to Settings → General management → Reset → Factory data reset. Before that, remove your Google account under Settings → Accounts and backup, and sign out of your Samsung account under Settings → Accounts and backup → Samsung account. Confirm Find My Mobile and Factory Reset Protection are both off. Once the reset finishes, ship it in using the free, insured label we provide. Payment goes out by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or check once the phone passes testing. Full steps are on our data erasure protocols page.
