The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (2024) is the premium all-aluminum 14-inch ultraportable built around a vivid 16:10 OLED display, all-day battery, and a sub-1.3 kg chassis. The 2024 generation ships in two versions under separate model codes: the Intel UX3405MA (Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" with Intel Arc graphics) and the AMD UM3406HA (Ryzen 7 8840HS "Hawk Point" with Radeon 780M). The two look nearly identical from the outside but differ in CPU, ports, and display, so your exact model and configuration determine the resale value. To avoid a misquote, note that this block covers the 2024 generation only — it does not include the newer 2025 models (UX3405CA Intel Core Ultra Series 2 / UM3406KA Ryzen AI 300), the older 2023 (UX3402VA / UM3402YA) or 2022 (UX3402 / UM3402) models, the convertible Zenbook Flip 14 OLED, or the larger Zenbook 14X OLED. Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • Intel (UX3405MA): Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, Core Ultra 7 155H, or Core Ultra 9 185H (Meteor Lake) — up to 16 cores / 22 threads, with an AI Boost NPU up to 11 TOPS
  • AMD (UM3406HA): AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS (Zen 4, Hawk Point) — 8 cores / 16 threads, up to 5.1 GHz, with a 16 TOPS XDNA NPU
  • The CPU is the fastest way to confirm which version you own

Graphics (GPU)

  • Intel: Intel Arc integrated graphics (on Core Ultra 7/9 models with 16GB+ dual-channel memory; Core Ultra 5 uses Intel Graphics)
  • AMD: AMD Radeon 780M (RDNA 3) integrated graphics
  • Both are integrated GPUs — there is no discrete graphics option in the Zenbook 14 OLED.

Memory (RAM)

  • LPDDR5X soldered on-board — not user-upgradable, no SO-DIMM slot
  • Intel: 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB depending on SKU
  • AMD UM3406HA: typically 16GB (capped at 16GB)
  • Because RAM is soldered, factory capacity is permanent — confirm your exact amount before quoting.

Storage

  • M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
  • 512GB or 1TB standard shipping capacities
  • Single M.2 slot only (no second drive bay), and due to surface-mounted board components, only single-sided SSDs are supported.

Display & audio

Display

14-inch 16:10 OLED, Pantone Validated, 100% DCI-P3, 0.2ms response, 1,000,000:1 contrast, VESA DisplayHDR True Black, with a TÜV Rheinland low-blue-light certification. The Intel UX3405MA uses a 3K (2880 × 1800) 120Hz panel, while the AMD UM3406HA typically uses an FHD+ (1920 × 1200) 60Hz OLED to keep costs down. Touch and non-touch variants exist. As an OLED, the panel is subject to burn-in if static images are left on screen for long periods.

Audio

Harman Kardon-certified stereo speakers with Smart Amp Technology and Dolby Atmos, plus a built-in array microphone with AI noise-canceling.

Ports & connectivity

Port selection differs between the Intel and AMD versions, since Thunderbolt is Intel-only.

Intel (UX3405MA)
  • 2× Thunderbolt 4 USB-C (DisplayPort + Power Delivery, up to 40Gbps)
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • 1× HDMI 2.1
  • 1× 3.5mm combo audio jack
AMD (UM3406HA)
  • 1× USB4 Type-C + 1× USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (DisplayPort + Power Delivery; no Thunderbolt branding — AMD platform)
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • 1× HDMI 2.1
  • 1× 3.5mm combo audio jack

Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 Copilot key

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

75Whr 4-cell battery, rated for all-day runtime (up to ~18 hours of video playback). Charges over USB-C with a compact 65W adapter — no proprietary barrel plug. The battery is also rated for up to 20% more charge cycles than the previous generation.

Camera & mic

FHD (1080p) IR webcam with Windows Hello facial recognition and a physical privacy shutter, paired with a built-in array microphone.

Keyboard & build

Backlit ErgoSense chiclet keyboard with 1.4mm travel, NumberPad 2.0 (numeric keypad in the touchpad), and a dedicated Copilot key. All-aluminum chassis with a 180° lay-flat hinge and a fingerprint sensor in the power button.

Durability

Meets US MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability testing. EPEAT Gold and Energy Star 8.0 certified.

Weight

≈ 1.20–1.28 kg (2.65–2.82 lb) depending on configuration — roughly 10% more compact than the 2022 generation.

Dimensions

31.24 × 22.01 × 1.49 cm (12.30" × 8.67" × 0.59").

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm I have the 2024 Zenbook 14 OLED?
Check the regulatory label on the bottom panel for the model code. The 2024 generation is UX3405MA (Intel) or UM3406HA (AMD) — UX = Intel, UM = AMD. The CPU confirms it: an Intel Core Ultra (Ultra 5/7/9 1xxH) or an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS means 2024. Be careful not to confuse it with the very similar 2025 UX3405CA (Core Ultra Series 2, ends in "CA" not "MA") or UM3406KA (Ryzen AI 300), nor the 2023/2022 UX3402/UM3402 models. Our ASUS model-number guide shows where to find it in Windows and on the chassis.
02 Can I upgrade the RAM or storage, and does it affect resale value?
The RAM is not upgradable. The LPDDR5X memory is soldered to the motherboard with no SO-DIMM slot, so whatever it shipped with (8GB, 16GB, or 32GB on Intel; typically 16GB on the AMD UM3406HA) is permanent. Storage is the only upgradable part: a single M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot, single-sided SSDs only. When you sell, just report the actual installed RAM and storage in the tool above — a higher soldered RAM tier and a larger SSD both raise your quote.
03 Should I wipe my SSD or remove it before shipping?
We recommend backing up your personal files to an external drive or the cloud, then signing out of your Microsoft account and removing the device from Windows Hello before boxing it. You don't need to remove the M.2 SSD yourself — our intake team runs certified multi-pass data sanitation on every incoming drive. You can review the full process on our data erasure protocols page.
04 Which configurations raise my Zenbook 14 OLED trade-in value the most?
The CPU tier and display are the biggest drivers. A Core Ultra 9 185H or Core Ultra 7 155H values above a Core Ultra 5 125H, and the Intel UX3405MA's 3K 120Hz OLED panel is worth more than the AMD model's FHD+ 60Hz screen. 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD both add to your final amount. Because the OLED panel is a key feature, a screen in clean, burn-in-free condition also helps. New to selling electronics? Our first-time seller's guide explains how condition and configuration shape your quote.
05 How fast do I get paid, and can I sell several laptops at once?
Once your Zenbook reaches our lab and passes component testing, payment is approved within two business days. You can choose PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, or a mailed paper check — and the prepaid, insured shipping label is completely free. If you're clearing out multiple laptops or an office fleet, our bulk selling program can set up a single quote for the whole batch.
