The Dell XPS 13 Plus (Model 9320) is Dell's flagship ultraportable, sold across two processor generations under a single chassis: the 12th-Gen Intel launch (early 2022) and the 13th-Gen Intel refresh (early 2023). Machined from CNC low-carbon aluminum with a seamless glass palm rest in either Platinum or Graphite, it is defined by three distinctive design cues: a zero-lattice edge-to-edge keyboard, an invisible haptic glass touchpad (no visible trackpad outline), and a hidden capacitive-touch function row that lights up instead of physical F-keys. Both generations carry the same regulatory identity, so your exact processor, memory, storage, and display combination determines the final resale value. If you're thinking about selling or trading in your XPS 13 Plus for cash, select your components using our tool above to see an instant offer for your exact device.

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • 12th-Gen (2022): Intel Core i5-1240P (12 cores) · i7-1260P (12 cores) · i7-1270P (12 cores) · i7-1280P (14 cores), 28W P-series
  • 13th-Gen (2023): Intel Core i5-1340P (12 cores) · i7-1360P (12 cores) · i7-1370P (14 cores), 28W P-series
  • The processor name is the single most reliable way to tell the two generations apart — see FAQ 02 below

Graphics (GPU)

  • Intel Iris Xe Graphics (integrated) on every configuration
  • No discrete NVIDIA or AMD GPU option exists on any XPS 13 Plus 9320 — this is an integrated-graphics ultrabook, not a gaming laptop

Memory (RAM)

  • LPDDR5 in 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB capacities (128-bit dual-channel)
  • 5200MHz on 12th-Gen units; 6000MHz on 13th-Gen units
  • Soldered / onboard memory — NOT upgradable. There are no SO-DIMM slots. The capacity you buy is permanent, so 32GB units are notably more valuable

Storage

  • Single M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • 12th-Gen: 256GB (PCIe 3.0), 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB (PCIe 4.0)
  • 13th-Gen: 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB (PCIe 4.0) — the 256GB tier was dropped
  • One M.2 slot only; storage is user-replaceable but there is no second drive bay

Display & audio

Display

All panels are 13.4-inch InfinityEdge with a 16:10 aspect ratio and Dolby Vision. Four options shipped: FHD+ (1920 × 1200) non-touch anti-glare; FHD+ (1920 × 1200) touch, anti-reflective; 3.5K (3456 × 2160) OLED touch with Gorilla Glass 7; and 4K UHD+ (3840 × 2400) touch. The OLED and 4K panels command meaningfully higher trade-in value than the FHD+ options.

Audio

Quad-speaker design with 8W total output, tuned with Waves MaxxAudio Pro and Waves Nx 3D audio. Dual microphone array with Waves MaxxVoice for calls.

Ports & connectivity

The XPS 13 Plus takes a minimalist approach — the port selection is deliberately sparse, so please account for what is not here before you box it up.

Left & Right Sides
  • 2× Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) with DisplayPort and Power Delivery — one on each side
  • That is the complete port list. Charging is over USB-C only
What's absent (state it up front)
  • No 3.5mm headphone jack on the body (a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle shipped in the box)
  • No USB-A ports (a USB-C to USB-A adapter shipped in the box)
  • No HDMI, no SD or microSD card reader, no Ethernet

Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX211 Bluetooth 5.2 (12th-Gen) / 5.3 (13th-Gen)

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

55Whr built-in battery paired with a compact 60W USB-C adapter. The battery is internal and not customer-replaceable.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I confirm my laptop is the XPS 13 Plus 9320?
The fastest way is to press the Windows key, type System Information, open it, and read the "System Model" line — it will say XPS 9320. You can also flip the laptop over and check the bottom cover, which is laser-etched with the regulatory model P151G (regulatory type P151G001). Visually, the XPS 13 Plus is unmistakable: it has no visible touchpad outline, a row of glowing touch-buttons instead of physical F-keys, and a keyboard whose keys sit edge-to-edge with no gaps between them. For a full walkthrough, see our Dell model-number guide.
02 How do I tell the XPS 13 Plus 9320 apart from the regular XPS 13 (9315 / 9310)?
These look similar in photos but are different laptops, and getting it right matters for your quote:
  • XPS 13 (9315) — the standard, non-Plus 13. It has a normal keyboard with visible gaps between keys, a physical function row, and a visible rectangular touchpad. If you can see a trackpad outline and real F-keys, you have the 9315, not the Plus.
  • XPS 13 (9310) — the older 11th-Gen model. Same "normal keyboard + visible touchpad" giveaway, and it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the body, which the Plus does not.
  • 12th-Gen vs 13th-Gen 9320: both are "XPS 13 Plus 9320" with the same P151G label. To separate them, open System Information and read the Processor line. A 12xxP chip (e.g. i7-1260P, i7-1280P) is the 2022 model; a 13xxP chip (e.g. i7-1360P, i7-1370P) is the 2023 model.
The single reliable test for "Plus or not" is the touchpad: no visible touchpad = XPS 13 Plus 9320.
03 Can I trade in an XPS 13 Plus with cosmetic wear or hardware issues?
Yes. We buy XPS 13 Plus laptops in every condition. Whether yours is pristine, has scuffs or dents on the aluminum, a cracked or discolored screen, a swollen or short-lived battery, or won't power on at all, just set the matching condition options above and your offer will adjust to a firm cash figure. Because the OLED and 4K touch panels are premium parts, a cracked screen has a larger effect on those configurations than on the FHD+ versions.
04 Which configurations raise my XPS 13 Plus trade-in value the most?
Many people don't realize how much the memory and display drive the price on this model. Because the RAM is soldered and can never be upgraded, a 32GB unit is worth significantly more than an 8GB one — buyers can't add memory later, so they pay up front for it. After that, the biggest value drivers are the 13th-Gen processors over the 12th-Gen, an i7 over an i5, the OLED 3.5K or 4K UHD+ display over FHD+, and larger 1TB or 2TB SSDs. A great many sellers also don't realize a service like ours exists at all — rather than letting a premium ultrabook sit in a drawer losing value, you can ship it to us for free and get paid, which is what FAQ 05 walks through.
05 How do I wipe my data, and how and when do I get paid?
Before boxing, back up anything you want to keep to an external drive or the cloud, then sign out of your Microsoft account and any Dell services. You don't need to remove the SSD yourself — our team runs certified multi-pass data-sanitization on every drive we receive, and you can review the process on our data erasure protocols page. Once your laptop reaches our lab and passes functional testing, payment is approved within about two business days. We pay by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, or by a physical check mailed to you. Your prepaid shipping label is free and fully insured. Selling several devices at once? Our bulk trade-in program handles that too.
