- No selling fees, unlike marketplaces
The Alienware m15 R6 (regulatory model P109F), released in 2021, is Dell's Intel 15.6-inch gaming laptop of its generation, built on the “Legend 2.0” design in Dark Side of the Moon (black) or Lunar Light (white). It pairs 11th-Gen Intel Core processors with NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics — and, unlike its AMD sibling, it was the version offered all the way up to the RTX 3080. It also brought back Thunderbolt 4 and fast display options up to 360Hz. Because the m15 R6 was highly customizable at checkout — several processors, four graphics tiers, three screen options, and a wide range of memory and storage — and because its RAM and storage are user-upgradeable (so yours may differ from the factory build), your exact configuration decides its final resale price. If you're looking to sell your m15 R6, our Alienware trade-in page gives you a real cash offer — just pick your components using the tool above to see an instant quote for your exact device.

Make sure you have the m15 R6 (and not an m15 R5, R7, or R4)
Alienware sold several similar 15.6-inch models, and the R6 and R5 are especially easy to mix up — they're the same generation split by processor brand, and share the same regulatory number. A quick 30-second check keeps you from picking the wrong product. The two cards below cover the model you're on this page for and the ones it's most often confused with.
This model — m15 R6 (Intel, 2021)
The regulatory model is P109F, and the giveaway is the processor: an Intel 11th-Gen chip (Core i5-11400H, i7-11800H, or i9-11900H). The lid has an etched “15” next to the alien-head logo. If your laptop has an Intel 11th-Gen processor and a 15-inch screen, you're in the right place.
Not this one — the close relatives
The m15 R5 (2021) is the AMD Ryzen version of this same generation — same P109F code, but a Ryzen chip. The m15 R7 (2022) is the next generation (12th-Gen Intel or Ryzen 6000, DDR5). The m15 R4 (2020) used 10th-Gen Intel. The x15 is a thinner premium sibling. If any of those match your machine, pick that model when you request a quote.
Where to find it: the regulatory code (P109F) is printed on the label on the bottom cover, along with your Dell Service Tag. The simplest check is the processor — type “System Information” into the Windows Start menu and read the Processor line: if it starts with Intel Core, you have the R6 (an AMD Ryzen chip means the R5). Our guide to finding your Alienware model number and our how to find your processor type walkthrough show exactly where to look.
Display & audio
Display
A 15.6-inch anti-glare panel offered in three options: Full HD (1920 × 1080) 165Hz; Full HD 360Hz with 100% sRGB (ideal for competitive gaming); or QHD (2560 × 1440) 240Hz with 100% DCI-P3, G-SYNC and Advanced Optimus. The 360Hz and QHD 240Hz panels typically fetch a higher trade-in value, so it's worth noting which one you have.
Audio
Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning, plus a built-in array microphone and a 720p HD webcam.
Ports & connectivity
A well-rounded port set, with power and video routed to the rear to keep cables tidy. The m15 R6 normally charges through its barrel-style power adapter; because it's the Intel model, its USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 4 and can trickle-charge at up to 15 W, but the barrel adapter is what powers it under load.
- 1× USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with Thunderbolt 4 (DisplayPort 1.4 and 15 W Power Delivery; full charging is via the barrel connector)
- 1× HDMI 2.1
- 1× Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45, Killer E2600)
- 1× DC-in (barrel power connector)
- 3× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (one with PowerShare)
- 1× 3.5mm global headset jack
- No SD / microSD card reader on this model
