- No selling fees, unlike marketplaces
The Alienware m15 R7 (regulatory model P109F), released in 2022, is Dell's flagship 15.6-inch gaming laptop of its generation, built on the “Legend 2.0” design in Dark Side of the Moon (black) or Lunar Light (white). It's notable for shipping in two different processor platforms under the same name — an Intel version (12th-Gen Core) and an AMD version (Ryzen 6000) — paired with high-wattage NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics and fast display options up to 360Hz. Because the m15 R7 was highly customizable at checkout — two CPU brands, four graphics tiers, three screen options, and a wide range of memory and storage — and because its RAM and storage are user-upgradeable (so yours may differ from the factory build), your exact configuration decides its final resale price. If you're looking to sell your m15 R7, our Alienware trade-in page gives you a real cash offer — just pick your components using the tool above to see an instant quote for your exact device.

Make sure you have the m15 R7 (and not an m17 R5, m15 R6, or x15)
Alienware's laptops share a family look, and this generation came in several closely related versions — so a quick 30-second check keeps you from picking the wrong product. The two cards below cover the model you're on this page for and the ones it's most often confused with.
This model — m15 R7 (2022)
The regulatory model is P109F, and the lid has a large etched “15” next to the alien-head logo. It's the 15.6-inch model with either a 12th-Gen Intel or a Ryzen 6000 AMD processor and RTX 30-series graphics. If you see “m15” and “R7,” you're in the right place — whether yours is the Intel or AMD version.
Not this one — the close relatives
The m17 R5 is the 17.3-inch version of this same generation (AMD-based). The m15 R6 (2021) is one generation older, with 11th-Gen Intel only. The x15 R2 is the thinner, more premium 15-inch line. If your lid etching reads “17,” or the label shows R6 or x15, pick that model when you request a quote.
Where to find it: the model name and regulatory code (P109F) are printed on the label on the bottom cover, along with your Dell Service Tag. You can also type “System Information” into the Windows Start menu and read the System Model line, and check the Processor line there to see whether yours is the Intel or AMD version. Our guide to finding your Alienware model number and our how to find your processor type walkthrough show exactly where to look.
Display & audio
Display
A 15.6-inch anti-glare panel offered in three options: Full HD (1920 × 1080) 165Hz with 100% sRGB; Full HD 360Hz with 100% sRGB (ideal for competitive gaming); or QHD (2560 × 1440) 240Hz with 99% DCI-P3 and 400 nits. All feature Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC / FreeSync. The 360Hz and QHD 240Hz panels typically fetch a higher trade-in value, so it's worth noting which one you have.
Audio
Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning, plus a built-in array microphone and a 720p HD webcam.
Ports & connectivity
A well-rounded port set, with power and video routed to the rear to keep cables tidy. Note the m15 R7 charges only through its barrel-style power adapter — you cannot charge it over the USB-C port. A couple of ports differ by graphics tier, noted below.

- 1× HDMI 2.1
- 1× Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45; 2.5G Killer E3100 on RTX 3060+ units, 1G Realtek on RTX 3050 Ti units)
- 1× DC-in (barrel power connector)
- 3× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (one with PowerShare)
- 1× 3.5mm global headset jack
- No SD / microSD card reader on this model
