The ASUS ZenBook Flip 13 (UX363 Series) is a premium 13.3-inch convertible ultrabook, launched in 2020 and sold through 2021 across two closely related generations: the UX363JA (2020, 10th-Gen Intel “Ice Lake”) and the UX363EA (2021, 11th-Gen Intel “Tiger Lake,” Intel Evo-certified). Both share the same feather-light Pine Grey aluminum body, a 360° ErgoLift hinge that folds into laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes, and ASUS Pen stylus support — but their internal parts and value are quite different, so identifying yours correctly matters. Because these laptops shipped with a range of processors, memory sizes, and screen types (including a gorgeous optional OLED panel), your exact configuration decides its final resale price. If you're looking to sell your ZenBook Flip 13, our ASUS ZenBook trade-in page gives you a real cash offer — just pick your components using the tool above to see an instant quote for your exact device.

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • UX363JA (2020): Intel Core i5-1035G1, Core i5-1035G4, or Core i7-1065G7 — 10th-Gen, 4 cores / 8 threads
  • UX363EA (2021): Intel Core i5-1135G7 or Core i7-1165G7 — 11th-Gen, 4 cores / 8 threads

  • Integrated graphics only — there is no separate NVIDIA or AMD GPU in either model

Memory (RAM)

  • LPDDR4x memory, offered in 8GB or 16GB
  • Soldered to the mainboard and not upgradable — the memory is fixed at the amount your laptop shipped with, so there's no way to add more later

Storage

  • M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • 512GB or 1TB shipping capacities
  • Single M.2 slot — the SSD is the one internal part that can be swapped

Which ZenBook Flip 13 do you have? (UX363JA vs UX363EA)

This is the most important thing to check before you request a quote. The two generations look nearly identical from the outside, but they're worth different amounts. The good news: telling them apart takes about 30 seconds. Flip the laptop over and read the model number printed on the sticker on the bottom cover — it starts with UX363 followed by two letters.

UX363JA — the 2020 model

The letters JA mean the 10th-Generation Intel version (Core i5-1035 or i7-1065 series). It has an IPS touchscreen only (no OLED option) and uses Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports. Full model numbers look like UX363JA-DB51T. This is the earlier, more affordable generation.

UX363EA — the 2021 model

The letters EA mean the 11th-Generation Intel “Tiger Lake” version (Core i5-1135G7 or i7-1165G7) with Iris Xe graphics. It's Intel Evo-certified, offers an optional OLED display, and uses faster Thunderbolt 4 ports. Full model numbers look like UX363EA-XH71T or UX363EA-AH74T. This is the newer generation and typically worth more.

Can't read the sticker? You can also find the model number in Windows: type “System Information” into the Start menu search box, open it, and look at the System Model line. Our step-by-step guide to finding your ASUS model number shows exactly where to look, with pictures.

Display & audio

Display

A 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080) NanoEdge touchscreen with ASUS Pen stylus support and a 360° hinge. The UX363JA comes with an IPS-level panel only. The UX363EA is offered with either an IPS panel or a premium FHD OLED panel (400 nits, 100% DCI-P3) — the OLED configuration generally fetches a higher trade-in value, so it's worth noting which one you have.

Audio

Built-in stereo speakers with ASUS audio tuning and a built-in array microphone. Note: this model does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack — audio runs over USB-C or Bluetooth instead.

Ports & connectivity

Impressively complete for such a slim (about 13.9mm) chassis. The laptop charges over USB-C using the included 65 W adapter — there is no separate barrel charger.

Left Side
  • 2× USB-C (Thunderbolt) (Thunderbolt 3 on the UX363JA; faster Thunderbolt 4 on the UX363EA — both support charging and DisplayPort)
  • 1× HDMI 2.0 (full-size)
Right Side
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (full-size)
  • 1× microSD card reader
  • No 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack on this model

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Bluetooth 5.0

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

A large-for-its-class 67 Whr lithium-polymer battery rated up to roughly 10 hours of video playback. Charges via USB-C with the bundled 65 W adapter (about 0 to 60% in under an hour), and also supports USB-C Easy Charge from lower-wattage chargers.

Camera & sign-in

Built-in HD webcam with an IR sensor for Windows Hello face sign-in on most configurations.

Keyboard & input

Backlit chiclet keyboard with the ErgoLift tilt, plus a glass touchpad featuring ASUS NumberPad 2.0 (an LED numeric keypad built into the trackpad). Includes ASUS Pen stylus support with 4096 pressure levels.

Build & design

All-aluminum chassis in Pine Grey with the signature ASUS concentric-circle lid and diamond-cut edges. Winner of a Red Dot Design Award 2020.

Weight

≈ 1.3 kg (about 2.87 lb).

Thickness

≈ 13.9 mm (0.55 inch) — one of the thinnest 13-inch convertibles of its era.

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out if I have the UX363JA or UX363EA?
Turn the laptop upside down and look at the printed sticker on the bottom cover. You'll see a model number starting with UX363 followed by two letters. If those letters are JA, you have the 2020 (10th-Gen Intel) model. If they're EA, you have the 2021 (11th-Gen Intel, Intel Evo) model. There will usually be a longer code after that too, like UX363EA-AH74T — only the first part (JA or EA) matters for identifying the generation. If the sticker is worn off, type “System Information” into the Windows Start menu and read the System Model line. Our ASUS model-number guide walks through both methods.
02 Is this the same as the ZenBook Flip S (UX371) or an older ZenBook Flip?
No — and it's an easy mix-up because they look alike. The ZenBook Flip S (UX371) is a pricier sibling with a 4K UHD OLED screen; its model number starts with UX371, not UX363, so check that first. The older ZenBook Flip 13 UX362 is a previous-generation model (UX362, one digit different). And the ASUS VivoBook Flip is a separate, more budget-focused line entirely (its model numbers start with TP, like TP401). As long as your sticker clearly reads UX363JA or UX363EA, you're in the right place. If it says anything else, pick the matching model when you request your quote so your offer is accurate.
03 Can I sell a ZenBook Flip 13 with wear, a cracked screen, or a weak battery?
Yes. We buy these convertibles in every working condition. Whether yours is spotless, has scuffs on the aluminum lid, a hinge that's loosened from years of flipping, a battery that no longer holds much charge, or a cracked or unresponsive touchscreen, just set the matching condition options above and your quote updates to a firm cash value. Since this is a touchscreen 2-in-1, it helps to note whether the touch and stylus input still work — that lets us give you the most accurate offer.
04 How does selling to Gadget Salvation work? (Many people don't know this is an option.)
A lot of people don't realize you can sell an older laptop like this directly for cash instead of letting it gather dust in a drawer or wrestling with buyers on a marketplace. Here's how it works: choose your model, configuration, and condition above to get an instant quote; if you accept it, we email you a free, fully insured prepaid shipping label. Pack up your ZenBook Flip 13, drop it off, and once it arrives and our team confirms the details, your payment is approved — usually within about two business days. You can get paid by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, or by a mailed check. New to this? Our step-by-step guide to selling a used laptop online and our tips for estimating your laptop's resale value are a helpful starting point. You can also browse other ASUS laptops we buy or all PC laptops.
05 Should I wipe my data or remove the SSD before shipping?
Back up anything you want to keep to an external drive or the cloud, then sign out of your Microsoft account and do a factory reset (Windows Settings → Update & Security / System → Recovery → Reset this PC) before you ship. You do not need to open the laptop or remove the M.2 SSD yourself — our team runs certified, multi-pass data sanitization on every drive we receive. You can read exactly how we handle it on our data erasure protocols page.
