The Dell XPS 13 (Model 9345), launched in June 2024 as the first Copilot+ PC in Dell's XPS 13 series, is a 2.6-pound ultraportable built around Qualcomm's Arm-based Snapdragon X processors instead of a traditional Intel chip. It pairs a CNC-machined aluminum chassis and Gorilla Glass palm rest with a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge display, a built-in 45 TOPS AI engine, and a 55Whr battery that reviewers clocked at close to 20 hours. Snapdragon X Elite versions arrived first in 2024, and lower-priced Snapdragon X Plus versions joined the lineup later in its run. Every unit carries the regulatory model P189G (type P189G001).

Is this your laptop? How to confirm you have the XPS 13 9345

You don't need to open anything or know any tech terms. Use one of these three easy checks — the first one takes about 20 seconds.

Option 1: Ask Windows (easiest)

  • Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard at the same time
  • Type msinfo32 and press Enter
  • Next to System Model, you should see XPS 13 9345
  • Next to Processor, you'll see "Snapdragon X Elite" or "Snapdragon X Plus" — pick that same option in our quote tool

Option 2: Check Windows Settings

  • Click Start, then open Settings (the gear icon)
  • Go to System → About
  • Under Device specifications, note the Processor and Installed RAM (16GB, 32GB, or 64GB)
  • For storage size, go to System → Storage

Option 3: Look at the bottom of the laptop

  • Shut the laptop down, close the lid, and flip it over on a soft surface
  • Find the small printed or laser-etched text near the bottom edge
  • Look for Reg Model: P189G and Reg Type: P189G001
  • The Service Tag (a 7-character code) is printed there too — you can enter it on Dell's support site to see your original configuration

Quick visual clues

  • ✅ Only two USB-C ports (one on each side) and nothing else
  • ✅ A row of glowing touch-sensitive function keys instead of physical F-keys
  • ✅ A seamless glass touchpad with no visible edges below the keyboard
  • ✅ A Copilot key to the right of the spacebar
  • ❌ If you have a headphone jack, a USB-A port, or an SD card slot, it is not the 9345

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out exactly which Dell XPS 13 9345 configuration I have?
The simplest way is to let Windows tell you. Press the Windows key + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter. The window that opens lists "System Model: XPS 13 9345," your processor (Snapdragon X Elite or Snapdragon X Plus), and your installed memory. To check storage, open Settings → System → Storage. For the display, remember that the base screen is not a touchscreen — if tapping the screen does nothing, choose "Non-Touch." If the screen responds to touch and blacks look perfectly black, even in a dark room, you most likely have the OLED; otherwise, choose "QHD+ Touchscreen." If your laptop won't turn on, flip it over and look for "P189G" on the bottom panel, or follow our Dell model number guide.
02 My laptop says "XPS 13" — how do I know it's the 9345 and not a different XPS 13?
Dell has sold many laptops under the "XPS 13" name, and some of them look almost identical on the outside — including a version with the same body and screens but an Intel processor inside. The two details that settle it are the four-digit model number and the processor brand. The page you're on is only for laptops that show XPS 13 9345 in System Information and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. If your processor says "Intel," or your model number is anything other than 9345, you have a different XPS 13 with a different value — find it on our Dell XPS buyback page, or request a custom quote and our team will identify it for you.
03 Can I sell an XPS 13 9345 that is damaged, worn, or has a replaced SSD?
Yes. We buy the XPS 13 9345 in every condition, including cracked screens, chipped glass palm rests, unresponsive touch function rows, dead batteries, and laptops that won't power on. Select "Defective" in the quote tool and check each issue that applies so your offer reflects the laptop's real condition. If you've swapped the original SSD for a different size, choose the capacity that's installed now; if the drive is missing, check "Defective/Missing Storage." One safety note: if the battery has swollen and is lifting the bottom panel or keyboard, contact our team before shipping so we can advise you on safe packing. Also, remember to include the USB-C charger if you still have it — the quote tool asks, and it affects your offer.
04 What is my Dell XPS 13 9345 worth, and how does your trade-in service work?
Many people don't realize they can sell a laptop online for cash without creating a marketplace listing, answering buyer messages, or paying 10–15% in selling fees. With Gadget Salvation, you choose your specs and condition above, see a firm offer instantly, print a free prepaid shipping label, and get paid after a quick inspection — see how it works. For this model, the biggest value drivers are the display (the OLED and QHD+ touchscreens were $300–$400 upgrades when new), the memory (32GB and 64GB units are worth more, and since RAM is soldered, buyers can't add it later), the Snapdragon X Elite processor over the X Plus, and larger 1TB or 2TB SSDs. Clean glass on the palm rest and touchpad and an included charger also help. Because the XPS 13 9345 loses value as newer laptops arrive, selling sooner usually means a bigger payout — our article on Dell laptop depreciation explains why, and our comparison of where to sell a Dell laptop for cash weighs a buyback against selling it yourself. Businesses retiring several units can use our corporate buyback program.
05 How should I prepare my XPS 13 9345 before shipping, and when do I get paid?
Back up your files to OneDrive or an external drive, then go to Settings → System → Recovery → Reset this PC and choose Remove everything. Before resetting, sign out of your Microsoft account and remove the laptop from your account's device list — Windows 11 encrypts the drive and ties the recovery key to that account, so leaving it linked can lock the laptop. If the XPS 13 was issued by an employer, ask your IT department to release it from Microsoft Intune or Windows Autopilot first, or it will stay locked to your company. You don't need to remove the SSD; every drive we receive is securely wiped following our data erasure protocols. Pack it using our shipping instructions and the free, insured label we email you. Once your laptop arrives and passes inspection, payment is issued within two business days via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a mailed check.
