The MSI Prestige 14 Evo is MSI's slim, Intel Evo–certified productivity ultrabook, built from magnesium-aluminum alloy and aimed at professionals, students, and creators who want real portability without a gaming laptop's bulk. It has shipped across three generations that all share the "Prestige 14 Evo" name but use different Intel platforms: the A11M (2021, 11th Gen), the A12M (2022, 12th Gen), and the B13M (2023, 13th Gen). Because these generations look nearly identical on the outside but differ significantly inside, your exact model and configuration decide the resale price. Many people don't realize you can trade in your Prestige 14 Evo for cash in just a few minutes — pick your generation and components using the tool above to see an instant offer for your exact device.

Which generation do you have?

Flip the laptop over and read the sticker on the bottom panel — it lists the model code (A11M, A12M, or B13M) right after "Prestige 14Evo." That code is the single most reliable way to identify your machine. Here's the quick reference:

Prestige 14 Evo A11M (2021)

  • 11th Gen Intel "Tiger Lake" — i5-1135G7, i7-1185G7, i7-1195G7
  • 14" FHD 1920 × 1080 (16:9) display
  • DDR4 / LPDDR4X memory
  • Look for A11M on the bottom label

Prestige 14 Evo A12M (2022)

  • 12th Gen Intel "Alder Lake-P" — i5-1240P, i7-1260P, i7-1280P
  • 14" FHD 1920 × 1080 (16:9) display
  • LPDDR4X / LPDDR5 memory
  • Look for A12M on the bottom label

Prestige 14 Evo B13M (2023)

  • 13th Gen Intel "Raptor Lake-H" — i5-13500H, i7-13700H, i9-13900H
  • 14" WUXGA 1920 × 1200 (16:10) — taller screen
  • LPDDR5 memory
  • Look for B13M on the bottom label

Not sure how to read the label? On Windows, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter. The "System Model" line shows the Prestige 14 Evo code, and "Processor" shows your exact CPU — which is all you need to pick the right generation above. Our step-by-step MSI model-number guide shows exactly where to look.

Core hardware configurations

Processor (CPU)

  • A11M: Intel Core i5-1135G7, i7-1185G7, i7-1195G7 (4 cores, 8 threads)
  • A12M: Intel Core i5-1240P, i7-1260P, i7-1280P (up to 12–14 cores)
  • B13M: Intel Core i5-13500H (12c), i7-13700H (14c), i9-13900H (14c)

Graphics (GPU)

  • Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics only across all generations
  • The Evo has NO discrete GPU. If yours has an NVIDIA GTX/RTX chip, it's a different model (see FAQ 02) and needs a different quote page.

Memory (RAM)

  • A11M: DDR4 or LPDDR4X, up to 32GB
  • A12M: LPDDR4X or LPDDR5, up to 32GB
  • B13M: LPDDR5-4800, up to 32GB
  • On A12M and B13M the memory is soldered/onboard and cannot be upgraded — the factory capacity is the ceiling.

Storage

  • M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • 512GB / 1TB / 2TB shipping capacities
  • Single user-accessible M.2 slot

Display & audio

Display

All models use a 14-inch matte IPS-level panel. A11M and A12M use FHD 1920 × 1080 (16:9); the B13M switched to a taller WUXGA 1920 × 1200 (16:10) panel with 100% sRGB, giving noticeably more vertical workspace. Brightness runs around 300 nits across the line. None of the Evo models is a touchscreen.

Audio & webcam

Stereo speakers with a bottom-firing layout. A11M/A12M carry a 720p HD webcam with an IR sensor for Windows Hello face login; the B13M upgrades to a Full HD 1080p webcam. A physical webcam privacy switch is included on later units.

Ports & connectivity

Despite the thin chassis, the Prestige 14 Evo keeps a practical port selection — including full-size HDMI, which many ultrabooks drop.

Left & Right
  • 2× Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C (with DisplayPort & Power Delivery — this is how it charges)
  • 1× USB-A 3.2 (Gen 1 on A11M/A12M; Gen 2 10Gb/s on B13M)
  • 1× HDMI (HDMI 2.0 on A11M/A12M; HDMI 2.1 up to 4K@60Hz on B13M)
Extras
  • 1× microSD card reader
  • 1× 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack
  • Fingerprint reader (in power button)

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out which Prestige 14 Evo generation I have?
Turn the laptop over and read the sticker on the bottom cover — it says "Prestige 14Evo" followed by A11M, A12M, or B13M. That code tells you the generation directly. If you'd rather check from Windows, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter: the "System Model" line shows the code and the "Processor" line shows your exact CPU (an 11th-gen chip means A11M, 12th-gen means A12M, 13th-gen means B13M). Our MSI model-number guide walks through it step by step.
02 How is the Prestige 14 Evo different from the regular Prestige 14, Prestige 14H, and Modern 14?
This matters because a wrong pick means a wrong quote. The Evo is Intel Evo–certified and uses integrated Iris Xe graphics only — no discrete GPU. If your MSI has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or RTX 3050, it's a non-Evo Prestige 14 or Prestige 14H, not this device. The Modern 14 is MSI's more budget-focused line with lower-power CPUs and fewer premium touches. And the Prestige 15 or Prestige 16 are larger-screen machines. The quickest confirmation: the Evo label on the bottom panel plus Iris Xe graphics (no NVIDIA sticker).
03 Can I sell a Prestige 14 Evo with wear, damage, or that won't turn on?
Yes. We buy these ultrabooks in every condition — flawless, scuffed, dented lids, a cracked screen, a swollen or dead battery, or a unit that won't power on. Just choose the matching condition options above and your quote adjusts to a firm cash figure.
04 Which configuration raises my Prestige 14 Evo trade-in value the most?
Many people don't realize how much the generation and processor drive the price on a slim laptop like this. A newer B13M with a Core i7-13700H or i9-13900H is worth considerably more than an original A11M. Beyond that, more RAM (up to 32GB), a larger SSD (1TB or 2TB), and the newer 16:10 display all lift your final payout. Because Iris Xe is standard across the line, the CPU tier and generation are the biggest levers. You can read more about what affects resale in our blog on what your laptop is worth, and see how buyback compares to other routes in laptop trade-in offers: how to get the most money.
05 Should I wipe my data first, and how do I get paid?
Back up your files to an external drive or the cloud and sign out of your Windows/Microsoft account before packing. You don't need to remove the SSD yourself — our team runs certified multi-pass data sanitization on every drive we receive. Full details are on our data erasure protocols page. Once your laptop arrives and passes functional testing, payment is approved within about two business days via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or a mailed check. Your prepaid UPS shipping label is free and fully insured — see how it works.
