Charger Included?

The MSI Prestige 14 Series is MSI's slim aluminum content-creation ultrabook — the version that pairs a thin-and-light 14-inch chassis with a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card, setting it apart from the integrated-graphics Prestige 14 Evo. It has shipped across three generations that share the "Prestige 14" name but use different Intel platforms and GPUs: the A10 (2019–2020, 10th Gen), the A11 (2021, 11th Gen), and the A12 (2022, 12th Gen). Because these look nearly identical outside but differ significantly inside — and the discrete GPU is a major value driver — your exact model and configuration set the resale price. Many people don't realize you can trade in your Prestige 14 for cash in just a few minutes: pick your generation and components using the tool above to see an instant offer for your exact device.

Which generation do you have?

Flip the laptop over and read the sticker on the bottom panel — it lists the model code (starting A10, A11, or A12) right after "Prestige 14." That code is the most reliable way to identify your machine. Here's the quick reference:

Prestige 14 A10 (2019–2020)

  • 10th Gen Intel "Comet Lake" — i5-10210U, i7-10710U (6-core)
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q, or MX330 / MX250 on lower SKUs
  • 14" FHD or 4K UHD "True Pixel" (16:9) display
  • Codes like A10SC, A10RB, A10RAS

Prestige 14 A11 (2021)

  • 11th Gen Intel "Tiger Lake" — i5-1135G7, i7-1185G7 (4-core)
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1650 or GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q
  • 14" FHD or 4K UHD (16:9) display
  • Codes like A11SCX, A11SCS, A11SC

Prestige 14 A12 (2022)

  • 12th Gen Intel "Alder Lake-P" — i5-1240P, i7-1260P, i7-1280P
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1650 or RTX 3050
  • 14" FHD (16:9) display
  • Codes like A12SC, A12UC

Not sure how to read the label? On Windows, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter. The "System Model" line shows the Prestige 14 code, and "Processor" shows your exact CPU (10th-gen = A10, 11th-gen = A11, 12th-gen = A12). To confirm the graphics card, press the Windows key, type Device Manager, and expand "Display adapters" — it will list your NVIDIA GPU. Our step-by-step MSI model-number guide shows exactly where to look.

Display & audio

Display

All models use a 14-inch, 16:9, IPS-level thin-bezel matte panel with a 180° lay-flat hinge. A10 and A11 offered a choice of FHD (1920 × 1080, ~72% NTSC) or a premium 4K UHD "True Pixel" (3840 × 2160) 100% Adobe RGB panel prized by creators. A12 is FHD (1920 × 1080) 100% sRGB only. None of the Prestige 14 Series models is a touchscreen.

Audio & webcam

Dual 2W speakers with Hi-Res / DTS audio processing, plus a 720p HD webcam with an IR sensor for Windows Hello facial login.

Ports & connectivity

Despite the thin chassis, the Prestige 14 keeps a practical port selection. Note the Thunderbolt standard steps up by generation.

Left & Right
  • 2× USB-C (Thunderbolt 3 on A10; Thunderbolt 4 on A11/A12 — both carry DisplayPort & Power Delivery, and this is how the laptop charges)
  • USB-A (2× USB-A on A10; 1× USB-A on A11/A12)
Extras
  • 1× microSD card reader
  • 1× 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack
  • Fingerprint reader
  • No HDMI port and no full-size SD reader on-board. A10 shipped with a USB-C dongle that adds Ethernet, USB-A, and SD. Charging is via USB-C (90W on A10/A11, 100W on A12) — there is no barrel plug.

Wi-Fi 6 / 6E Bluetooth 5.1 Dedicated NVIDIA GPU

Battery, build & more

Battery & charging

All generations use a 3-cell 52Wh battery charged over USB-C — no proprietary barrel plug. Battery life is modest under GPU load, which is the trade-off for the discrete graphics.

Keyboard

White backlit chiclet keyboard with an oversized glass trackpad. No numeric keypad.

Build & color

Ultra-slim aluminum chassis. A10/A11 came in Carbon Gray, Pure White, and Rose Pink; A12 is Carbon Gray only.

Operating system

Ships with Windows 10 or Windows 11 (Home or Pro depending on SKU).

Weight

≈ 1.29 kg (2.84 lb) across generations — light for a laptop with a discrete GPU.

Dimensions

≈ 319 × 219 × 15.9 mm (12.6" × 8.5" × 0.63").

Frequently asked questions

01 How do I find out which Prestige 14 generation I have?
Turn the laptop over and read the sticker on the bottom cover — it says "Prestige 14" followed by a code beginning A10, A11, or A12. That prefix tells you the generation directly. If you'd rather check from Windows, press the Windows key, type msinfo32, and press Enter: the "Processor" line shows your CPU (a 10th-gen chip means A10, 11th-gen means A11, 12th-gen means A12). Our MSI model-number guide walks through it step by step.
02 How is the Prestige 14 different from the Prestige 14 Evo, Modern 14, and Prestige 15?
This matters because a wrong pick means a wrong quote. The biggest distinction is the graphics card: this Prestige 14 Series has a dedicated NVIDIA GPU (GTX 1650, GTX 1650 Ti, or RTX 3050). The near-identical-looking Prestige 14 Evo has integrated Iris Xe graphics only — no NVIDIA chip — so if Device Manager shows no NVIDIA card, you have the Evo and should use its quote page. The Modern 14 is MSI's more budget line with lower-power CPUs and usually integrated graphics. And the Prestige 15 / Prestige 16 are larger-screen machines. The quickest confirmation: check for an NVIDIA GPU and measure the screen at 14 inches.
03 Can I sell a Prestige 14 with wear, damage, or that won't turn on?
Yes. We buy these ultrabooks in every condition — flawless, scuffed, dented lids, a cracked screen, a swollen or dead battery, or a unit that won't power on. Just choose the matching condition options above and your quote adjusts to a firm cash figure.
04 Which configuration raises my Prestige 14 trade-in value the most?
Many people don't realize how much the NVIDIA GPU drives the price on these machines. An A12 with an RTX 3050 is worth noticeably more than a GTX 1650 or an older A10/A11. Beyond the GPU, a newer generation, an i7 processor, more RAM, a larger SSD, and the premium 4K UHD "True Pixel" display (on A10/A11) all lift your final payout. You can read more about what affects resale in our blog on what your laptop is worth, and see how buyback compares to other routes in laptop trade-in offers: how to get the most money.
05 Should I wipe my data first, and how do I get paid?
Back up your files to an external drive or the cloud and sign out of your Windows/Microsoft account before packing. You don't need to remove the SSD yourself — our team runs certified multi-pass data sanitization on every drive we receive. Full details are on our data erasure protocols page. Once your laptop arrives and passes functional testing, payment is approved within about two business days via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or a mailed check. Your prepaid UPS shipping label is free and fully insured — see how it works.
